What is bad in this.....if your annual Salary is 20k and your monthly take home is 1,493, multiply this by 12 months ( 1,493 X 12 = 17,916 ) so 20,000 - 17,916 = 2,084.....is £2,084 too much to pay for tax annually? Maybe the poster shud go to a country where they do not have to pay Tax at all

..... the last time I checked a cleaner in UK earns about £2k a month equating to about #3million and Nigeria lecturer earns less than this, and people come and tell me that rent and mortgage is high, lets then assume he spends half on accomodation, he still have 1k to play with.

Apart from security problems we facing in naija,abeg naija still beta than UK,and the dollar still get plenty value (advantages) pass naira unless $1= #100 or even less ova dere naw tax and oda expenses (water,light...) dont be dramatic. Husband and wife even earning 2800 net pay collectively are not doing badly. They may not be able to buy Gwagon but they can live a comfortable life. They will even have 500k to spend on building projects back home every month.

Your kids can do great things, if u get son, u fit try whine am make e be footballer. The opportunities are endless. Even if u no send money home for housing project, collect mortgage, after few years apply to collect Home Equity Line of Credit, use am do weytin u wan do back home or wherever.

Is a place you place your priorities right and hit the target than trying to construct a coastal road for tourism when the internal roads are left to decay and zero security on the roads...

But come to think of it, are there lecture classes that Nigeria missed from this British people

Because over there, they don't torelate nonsense, even to discuss with a colleague in office, your manager can easily sack one, because even himself is placed on a monthly target by the Government...

Tbe only thing about UK is boredomness , because the person you might want to have a cool time with , might be on afternoon shift and you are on night shift, so one can work for a year without having much time with even your wife except both of you agree to take a leave at the same time ..

I laugh at the fact that money earned in UK and the rest is always compared to Nigerian currency. The money earned there is spent there. You don't earn your salary at the end of the month then jump on the next flight to Nigeria to spend it here because it has more value here in Nigeria. It is your savings that you have access to send here or you travel down to spend here that has value. They don't sell goods or provide services over there in naira or Nigerian currency.

The originator has no good intentions for others. Selfish to say the least . You're earning £50,000 annual and average of £4167/month and a deduction of around £875 as taxes representing a reasonable percentage with all the infrastructure, schools, electricity , security , jobs etc why else are you expecting from the UK government.

Let's be fair for once, the government cannot be held liable for the kind of lifestyle you choose to live and you need to get it into your skull that you migrated there .

You will make more money by doing the following though; minding your business, working, staying out of trouble and living moderately. When you come back home you can start oppressing those you wish to oppress.

The only thing I wound advice anyone to do is not to get in the bad books of these country. Immigration is not a right it's a privilege, so let's be discreet and apply wisdom.
