saintneo:Any ọkpa that was made with all those ingredients you mentioned no be okpa again. Red oil, salt and pepper are the only ingredients for preparing okpa. Reason you need to eat one prepared by one who really knows how to make it. Some people add crayfish and onions to okpa even here in Enugu and that’s rubbish |

Moi-moi doesn't go down well with my system, it gives me running stomach if I eat more than one......So I choose okpa. |
Re: Opinion: Okpa Is Better Than Moi Moi by adolfHitler1934: 1:33pm On May 05 |
Okpa is a rubbish food liked by the region where it came out from. There's nothing special about that stuff but there's something special attached to it.....poverty kind of food. No matter how you try to hype that shiitty food, it won't make any sense to people like me. According to accounts from same people from the East, Okpa was discovered or became very popular during the civil war as a means of subsidiary of protein that was totally absent in foods that period. Awolowo used food blockade as a means of war then.....that was genocide and he ought to have been prosecuted. Wicked man. I pray that big bearded man, Ojukwu meets you that place you are. Yes, as I was saying, Okpa is for poor people, although rich in nutrition, but I will never like it no matter what. How can I like something that is prepared with just palm oil and salt, no spice. The worse is that when I ask why it's like that, people from the East will defend it that it is the only way to prepare it. Rubbish! 1 Like 1 Share |

Eating okpa alone can satisfy you quickly unlike moimoi that you have to be looking for garri to eat. |

Well, in my own opinion, Moi Moi is far far behind Okpa in all ramification. However, if you are used to all those things they rap inside nylon and label it okpa (especially outside South Eastern states), then you may want to say Okpa is tasteless 1 Like |

Nothing beats moi moi to be honest.. especially when it's prepared with leaves. Okpa on the other hand is good too and filling, like you can eat 1 and be okay till evening but I prefer eating the baked bambara nuts they use in making okpa. 1 Like |

If it is yellowish, yes. I don't understand all these reddish ones I'm seeing in Lagos. Whether na the oil, I no no. But living in Nsukka those days, it was always yellowish. People selling okpa, chanting "Ọkpa dị ọkụ" all over campus and Ziks flat back then was badass. 1 Like |
