This one doesn't know anything. Was guys not doing Crypto since all the Years Emefiele was there. Instead of focusing on how to boost the Economy and increase our export to earn foreign exchange they are busy chasing after Crypto traders.
At the time, Naira wasn't delisted from those platforms. I noticed OKX delisted naira from its P2P a few days back.

You dey delist wetin you no list!

P2P can never be banned and this is simple. Until the FG realises the Exchanges were just acting as escrow agents then they'll understand the even if you "delist" from exchanges.. As long as there is a trusted agent to ensure both parties are not cheated, P2P will always go on

You must be kidding if you think you can be lazy and make money in crypto. I've made millions in crypto trading but I had to sweat for two years before I started becoming profitable.

You keep on saying it's ponzi the same way people have been calling bitcoin since it was less than $1 in 2009. But today, Blackrock, the world's largest asset manager, with $10 trillion in assets is now offering bitcoin to its clients.

No mind am... When you see people without guts to venture into unknown terrains, you hear then speak that way..

I know what it took me to teach myself crypto when I decided to take the risk of trading with $13k... I know what I went through before I started making good profit.. Just leave those 'jonzers'

If they delist naira from crypto exchanges and stop them from trading P2P, then we would move to off ramp services.

There, we would convert our USDT to our local currency. So many off ramp providers out there.

Apart from off ramp, we would use Telegram bot, and normal P2P without exchange intermediary. 100 of options would be provided.

I would even suggest to a decentralized exchange like PancakeSwap or Uniswap to offer P2P services. I wonder who FG would contact when decentralized exchange adopts that.

For more context about decentralized exchange:
There's no KYC so all transactions are done via smart contract. So you won't need to know anybody at all, just signing of the transactions and the contract executes it. Even SEC finds it difficult clamping down on DEX since the team is completely anonymous.

Read your first sentence again and reason it properly.

Have you been to government offices lately? The so-called president even entered through cheating.

Everything is skyrocketing, and you expect a sane person not to find means of surviving?

People's income do not even last up to two weeks again.

The more people get financially improverished, the more they tend to find other means of survival.

anonymous1759:

Does that justify why you should cheat your customer because the government is misbehaving?
If the prices of goods increases, increase your goods according not bloating it because the government did something that got you angry .
If you’ve issues with the government you protest anytime you want but don’t take it on your fellow compatriots.

The question is why is government bent on removing food from people's mouth when they have eaten enough and satisfied?
To the best of my knowledge Cripto currency is not the problem of Nigeria economy. The reason why the country is going through all this is because of bad policy.
Government should check and recheck the solution is within.

This is a good news.
All those lazy youth that are hell bent on destroying our economy by trading and speculating the exchange rate on P2P platforms are in deep shit already.
Instead of investing in physical asset they prefer to get rich quicker by trading USDT in the comfort of their bedroom at the detriment of our economy.
I keep telling people the rate we see online is not the true exchange rate.
I'm sure they will switch to Telegram but don't be surprised in 2 weeks time the CBN will equally ban Telegram.
Poor man and envy are twins. What's ur business with those trading forex? Countries all over are trading forex

It's no longer Binance cheesy after delisting let's watch out for other excuses from this clueless govt grin .
SA Rand that is far better than the Nigerian Naira is listed on exchanges and the Rand has never for once lose value like the Naira. BDC & commercial banks are the main economic saboteurs but this govt won't go after them because he has stakes in most of these banks and owns some of the biggest BDC ventures.
Just like how subsidy removal took away fuel scarcity, this govt has no plan and doesn't have anything better than what PMB offers.

You ended up not answering my question,

Do you want people to accrue loss Because you're defending rubbish online?

1. increased in fuel price = increased transportation of goods

2. increased tarrif= increased running of business activities

3. increase import duty increase fx rate for All time high at almost 1400 to dollar

With all these pressure and very sharp increase in fx rate and import duty, transportation, cost of production and running day to day business

you expect people to keep price same abi 🤡🤡🤡

what are we now, a socialist State?

why am i suprised same you guys supporting Buhari are the ones still supporting a clown that removed Subsidy and started paying for it with higher price?

someone who went and float a currency and started defending it again

mtcheww

e no go better for una

Honestly you be fool. The person you quoted is not against price increment, but it should be done accordingly, meaning when there's an increase in Import duty and whatnot the sellers should increase the price of their goods to reflect these changes but shouldn't exploit people using those factors as excuse.

Make una try dey open una mind so una go fit reason like people wey get brains in their head.
Bitterness wan kill una.

You just want to be unfortunate , if you refuse to see where I stated that you can increase your goods accordingly without bloating it for exploitation.

From my experience it’s better to buy everything you need in bulk those retailers are killers , that’s how one seller told a basket of tomatoes cost 45-50k when it’s 10k In the marker two months ago when I got it. he lied to me to justify his exploitation.
Only sore election losers deny exploitation is not going on.

Let’s continue the exploitation game , the good thing is that you can’t be self sufficient In everything if you exploit MR A MR B will do you the favor.

There's what we call speculative business. Those doing forex and investing in stocks, which product or service do they sell?
You be idiot! You are speculating against the Naira to collapse! You are a destroyer. If you want to speculate in Nigeria, you don't bet against the Naira.

You idiots but USDT for keep and resell or wait for USDTNGN to rise and cash out. In other words, you want Naira to collapse to make profit.

Speculators deposit money and trade assets on crypto exchanges not buying and selling USDTNGN like akara.

In fact, a bill should be formulated to criminalise the activities of P2P merchant which should be death penalty!

An economic saboteur, like you, as a P2P merchant, is worse than a murderer.

Forex and crypto are not the same.

You don't trade USDT in Forex.

And you really can't specualete in the NGNUSD market because of spread unlike NGNUSDT market where there's no spread.

Nigerians ain’t sincere , we never own up to our responsibilities that our actions sometimes affects the economy.

We’ve some countries whose population and export ain’t much but their currency is strong.
Those island nations for example.

Our constant demand for dollars and speculation and sabotage can’t be over emphasized.
This action might last for sometime but the government needs to put foot on ground more sabotage will spring up .

You are as dumb as the politicians in power. Crypto trading did nothing to our economy or naira, it is your government that is so dumb or afraid to put an end to BDC operation USDT/NGN pairs in Nigeria. Trust me, people will always find a way to sell their crypto assets, it is government that will eventually be at lost.

If CBN are serious to put an end to dollar hoarding or speculation, they should create an app where those genuinely in need of it will apply and get it tranfer directly from CNB app to their destinations abroad. Using commercial banks for this purpose won't work, because they are the real saboteurs we are talking about.

All government need to do is to compell these exchanges to deal directly with naira and not USDT. By this, you can only convert crypto asset to naira and not usdt to naira. You don't ban a source of income for millions of your jobless youths. And if I may ask, what exactly is poor masses benefiting from this government?
