What do you define as a christain marriage? Just curious.
As for your friend, it's better he let's her know his decision on time not rigmarolling around it so she can consider other offers.
Occult and Christianity to me is like light and darkness. If he wants a marriage following Christian values, the fiance's background especially with the father's influence might bring up challenges later. That's my opinion. Well no marriage is without challenges. It's up to him at the end. 2shure: Shameless dunce. Na always him, meanwhile na u.ode You are the only one calling me insultive words here out of the blues. If she loves and respect him...yes, he should marry her! kingthreat: Okay here is the story.
One of my best friends who is expected to get married this year just called me for hours with regards to his plans.
He met this babe 2 years ago and things were going fine. I even know the girl as a nice lady and very homely. I don chop her food, she cooks well. Both of them attend RCCG church. My friend is a casual member while his fiance is a serious member and doesn't miss weekly services.
So my friend to take his relationship more seriously decided to visit his fiancé's family so they know him. Before then, the fiancé had told him that her father is a former Baptist but has stopped being religious and sometimes does traditional practices. On the day of him visiting her home, he was welcomed even bought gifts for the dad and mum. But he said his spirit was very uncomfortable in that house.
There was an standing portrait of the father on white with beads and regalia to show he is Ogboni. Also in the house, there were a few funny looking art works which looks occult. My friend played cool, the father even asked of his church and he told him. The father proudly said he is a traditional man. After the meeting, the next day he asked his girlfriend if her father is an ROF member and she said yes that she told him before that he is a traditional man.
But my friend is showing signs of doubts. He told me he loves the girl, but that he wants nothing to do with anything occultic in this life till he dies. His family may not agree but even if he insist to have his way because of love, he wants to be sure it will not end in regret.
I told him what really matters is the heart of the person he is marrying. My guy said yes but family background matters. Foundation matters, which is true.
House, what do you think? |

House, what do you think? If everything you said up there is true about your "friend"... Coz it might be you anyways.. Back to the matter.. What if after marrying the girl you find out that her father has sacrificed all the children in her womb to his god(s)? Remember, the spiritual will always control the physical and note that it doesn't matter if you believe this statement or not! Lastly, what's the full meaning of ROF? Or are you already scared that the cult members might hurt you if you reveal their name since they can even see you opening a thread about them on Nairaland? 6 Likes |

StPete: Tell him not to go ahead with the marriage plans.
What he has seen about the family will always torment him even in marriage. Love is not enough. Women are never truly christians, they attend church today and can be easily swayed the next.
Let him not proceed. There are other ladies out there that he can choose from Wouldn't it be stupid of me not to marry your daughter because you're a Christian? or how will you feel if I reject your daughter because I found the Idolized picture of Jesus and Cross in your home? Y'all should stop profiling people base on what they believe. He was once a Christians, remember that. 3 Likes 1 Share |
