Today, I visited the Lagos-Calabar coastal road construction site with my good friend, the former governor of Cross River State, H.E Donald Duke. The project is truly magnificent and unlike any other. Upon completion, it will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest infrastructure wonders of our time. 99 Likes 23 Shares

Interesting. One thing about this President is that he is BOLD He goes where no previous leader dared to go. 1. Fuel Subsidy - removed. GEJ folded at the first sign of protest at Ojota. 2. FCT minister - gave it a Southerner 3. Student loan scheme - in the works 4. Coastal road - ongoing And so on.. But this horrible 0.5 or 0.005% tax on bank transfer his government wants to introduce is too much. We are hearing too of Telecom tax. There's the dreaded Band A electricity palaver on ground. Excessive taxes are suffocating the people and the economy. 273 Likes 27 Shares |

The coastal road will open the coastal areas in the Niger Delta. Few km of the roads will be located in Yoruba land, most part of it will be located in the Niger Delta. No serious economy activities is going on in the coastal areas of Nigeria except Lagos 78 Likes 7 Shares |

"Upon completion, it will undoubtedly be recognized as one of the greatest infrastructure wonders of our time." When will this project be completed, sir? When will you notice that "your time" is wasted one? Your generation got the best of Nigeria... see what you have left for my generation! You are a big part of the problem. Have you heard from your community in Bayelsa about the impact of this project, how many bridges needs to be built or you're giving us the "Tale of Two Cities" from Lagos? You are part of the problem Sir... 33 Likes 4 Shares |

Connecting the standard guage of the railways from the North to the South would have been a better and greater infrastructural wonder of our time.. in that way, foods, Cargo, fuel and persons would be transported cheaper from the North to the South and vice versa.. a very quick win that would have been.. just link the Itakpe station to Abuja station.. But understandably everyone wants to embark on projects not for National interest but for prioritized personal interest.. The second Naija bridge was one of the legacy projects of the last administration.. that administration didn't award the contarct to a company they had vested interest but instead followed due process in the award, even though you can't completely eliminate vested interest in Nigeria's procurement processes. That presidential initiative project got a national buy-in and everyone can see the results today. Time would tell how this one would pan out. 9 Likes |

I kinda love what these South South leaders are doing. They have shown that bitterness is not in the blood of South Southerners. Dave Umahi should now make sure the road proceed fast as expected. I love this. 57 Likes 10 Shares |
