Interesting.

One thing about this President is that he is BOLD

He goes where no previous leader dared to go.

1. Fuel Subsidy - removed. GEJ folded at the first sign of protest at Ojota.

2. FCT minister - gave it a Southerner

3. Student loan scheme - in the works

4. Coastal road - ongoing

And so on..

But this horrible 0.5 or 0.005% tax on bank transfer his government wants to introduce is too much. We are hearing too of Telecom tax. There's the dreaded Band A electricity palaver on ground.

Excessive taxes are suffocating the people and the economy.

You forgot to add that his boldness has added a deeper dimension to poverty and hunger in the land?

I hope you know that this project will not be completed until your last born finish university 😔

And when is that going to be?. The project period was estimated and it can be achieved once it's non- stop. Its not difficult to start and end projects once you have the capacity. Kindly Check all projects initiated and executed by jagaban in the past and till date and mentioned any abandoned ones. From ECONET, free trade zone, Atlantic city, Brt, railway lines and many more. Even check the rate of this coastal road implementation.

May we humbly Suggest that instead of using
8 years to build 10 Lanes of the Highway
FG should instead first use 4 years to Complete 5 Lanes along the full Stretch of Lagos to Calabar

That way the one with the first 5 Lanes completed can be in use in 4 years time carrying Traffic in both directions while .the remaining 5 Lanes are also being constructed and which should be completed after 8 years

After which the Traffic can use the full 10 lanes when fully Completed

Great suggestion.

None of our so called Nairaland warriors have been there to even see what's going on. Those singing the praises of the project and those against it.

All of una just sit down for keyboard dey talk nonsense. If these project started in Calabar we will agree you guy no get transport, but despite most of you stay in Lagos, we no see una photo or video of visit or fact-finding.

Lazy youths everywhere, both for and against. Shior !!! Tueh !

If dem no do anything, we go talk. If dem do, we go talk.

It really is massive and being well traveled, I see the potential. I wish it could be completed in 4-5 years to shut these haters up.

With God nothing is stopping it. I just believed it will be completed because jagaban is a promises keeper, he has delivered difficult projects in the past even with state power, he promised the coastal super highway during campaign. He is not a failure, even what will follow the coastal super highway to prosperity will be implemented. Reason he created the blue economy ministry.

I kinda love what these South South leaders are doing.
They have shown that bitterness is not in the blood of South Southerners.
Dave Umahi should now make sure the road proceed fast as expected. I love this.

Now Tinubu is covering all the wasted gaps.

I am looking forward to travelling on this road to Calabar in the nearest future...

Imagine connecting and travelling the entire Coastal States of Nigeria under Eight Hours of driving.

That would bring a lot of fresh air to Nigerians. We will become more connected as a people.

The abandoned Tinapa Project by created by Donald Duke in Calabar will definitely benefit from this project ............. places like Obodu Cattle Ranch in Calabar will be much more closer and reachable on time.

Money will move around through this road when completed.

I’m glad you also mentioned the various problems affecting us after you listed those nonsense plus rubbish up there.
To clarify things, all you’ve listed so far are all problems/challenges we are facing.

The fuel subsidy has left Nigerians in worst situation than before. All the money from subsidy is still not accounted for until now and there are talks that government still pays subsidy. so who’s fooling who?!!
Therefore, it was a wrong move!
GEJ didn’t fold, he listened to the people.

Southerner as FCT minister was a bad move but not wike. He is too controversial. All he has done since he got there is to do his usual gra-gra, bulldoze and seize here and there. FYI he just requested and got approval for billions of naira to build schools and more billions for operations in the ministry and nothing has happened yet.
Therefore that was a wrong move!

I just Dey laugh at the student loan scheme. The question is, do we have the infrastructure for this scheme. Mind you it is a loan. Them go pay back ?? Also Them never settle ASUU yet ooo 😂😂

Coastal road is ongoing. Let’s see how long this ongoing will be

Now the issue of these new set of taxes. It’s all too much and too soon. This new government just can’t wait to get their hands on our commonwealth and it’s sickening!

I am a patriotic Nigerian btw but I’ve just being disappointed by our leaders so much so I expect nothing new

When thenproject is for igbos it will have a national buy but now the coastal highway is not to Igbo land it does not have national outlook even when all the governors from the SS appreciated the initiative n northerner complaining about it except pained loser atkiu n the most foolish bastard ever created by God in curse bastard Peter Pandora Obi.

Kelklein:
Connecting the standard guage of the railways from the North to the South would have been a better and greater infrastructural wonder of our time.. in that way, foods, Cargo, fuel and persons would be transported cheaper from the North to the South and vice versa.. a very quick win that would have been.. just link the Itakpe station to Abuja station..

But understandably everyone wants to embark on projects not for National interest but for prioritized personal interest..

The second Naija bridge was one of the legacy projects of the last administration.. that administration didn't award the contarct to a company they had vested interest but instead followed due process in the award, even though you can't completely eliminate vested interest in Nigeria's procurement processes. That presidential initiative project got a national buy-in and everyone can see the results today. Time would tell how this one would pan out.
