Disgraceful.

I'm Imo state son and schooled all my life in Owerri

Went to FUTO

I can categorically tell you only one part of Owerri looks like this

This place captured here is IMSU junction down to Douglas Road

They're about only 3 Flyovers in the whole of Owerri.

Only Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe are the only habitable places in Owerri

Heck! Kubwa Abuja is more developed than Owerri

The government have really dealt with us in Imo state

A glorified village compared to Lagos or Abuja and it's saddening

When do we start categorizing development and beauty with bridge?

U schooled in imsu and didn't go anywhere in Owerriapart from imsu area so shut up

The Sam Mbakwe airport in Owerri can't compete with Abuja, though both can do better. The only thing I saw as modern there is the toll gate abi na barricade, others are outdated.

Moroof Ewedudeen so you now want to become igbo and no longer a Yoruba Muslim ? I don’t think igbos will accept you because you lack the basic criteria they need which is common sense

But the guy lied only where he wrote that Owerri, Orlu and Okigwe are the only habitable places in Imo State.

Truth is that Owerri only is the habitable place in Imo state. Orlu has been destroyed by Uzodinma government's clandestine and open hostilities to Orlu since 2020. All govt establishments - from teaching hospital to Nursing School to Polytechnic campus to High Court- in Orlu have been closed by Uzodinma who relocates them to his village Omuma in OruEast local government Council area. Okigwe still remains with the little development it gained during Okorocha government.

Sam Mbakwe airport will always be greater than Abuja airport because Sam Mbakwe was built after the war by communities coming together and building their own rather than waiting for the government. Abuja is stolen oil built and only for rich oligarchs to run Nigeria's money out of Nigeria at a faster rate.

Sam Mbakwe Airport is one of the great achievements of the nation as a whole

No state capital in any country is befitting.
Befitting state capital is what was coined in Imo state by people from Owerri to confuse the usually poorly educated governors from Orlu senatorial district to abandon every place in Imo state but build only in Owerri for a befitting capital city. Befitting capital is a fraudulent terminology in use only in Imo state.
Okorocha said he was building a befitting capital city in Owerri. Hope Uzodinma came and promised similar thing that he is building Owerri to designer's delight. No other towns in Imo state today outside Owerri is worth settling down to live or do business.

Owerri is a glorified village full of brothels , there’s nothing like tourism in Owerri except for prostitution

Most of the pictures I showed are that of old owerri.
What if I dedicate a particular thread to new Owerri...comprising of places like Areas A, C, D, E, H, U, Musa yaradua, world Bank etc..

I'm sure you would be humbled

Bros it will be very nice if you can get this thread to be on Frontpage. It would be cool of you can upload this thread with more pictures of those places you mentioned. Owerri Always looks very beautiful. The city has the European looks especially with the style of buildings and white paintings. I grew up in Owerri and schooled there. Owerri Nchi Ise ekelee mu ooo!

Thank you my brother. I saw the news days back about Commissioning of 3 Gas processing plants, 2 of which are situated in IMO(ANOH). I was just over joyed. It means Imo GDP will increase and better economy for the masses(GDP per capita). Not the useless IGR some peeps keeps yapping about. Obviously there are more disposable cash in the hands of people in the Ala Igbo. In the M.C.C road picture you shared, i noticed the 4-storey building being erected next to EVERYDAY SUPERMARKET. Our people are trying in this hard economy o. Ego adiro, ego adiro, a na aru ulo n'ike n'ike grin
