Nigeria has a significant amount of manpower

What is stopping the contractors from assigning 1 kilometer each to 700 different teams

This is how China builds at an incredibly fast rate

It’s a good idea. Just like the Lagos-Ibadan expressway was shared between Julius Berger , from Lagos to Shagamu exchange, while the RCC handles from Shagamu exchange to Ibadan.
But since the entire Lagos-Calabar coastal road contract has been awarded to Hi-Tech, Hi-Tech should share the entire road construction into segments among its workers, to be done simultaneously.

They see it as ya.riba empowerment project so the urge to do it at least to the gates of odua nation , this is in contrast to GEJ who was thinking Nigeria while buhari and thiefunbu were being realistic and don’t give a hoot about Nigeria

The rush is to avoid cost variations as a result of the rising inflationary pressure.
Since it’s an economically feasible project, it’s timely completion would also have multiplier effects on the Nigerian economy.

Imagine a 700km road being billed to take 8 years to complete. Maybe just to justify the humongous cost.

You never considered Nigeria factors

What's the population of China? How many engineers do Chinese have?

Isn't Chinese most of the road contractors in Nigeria?

Good point you raised. But the question is do we have the CAPACITY to finish such gigantic project within 1year? I doubt it.

If you say within 3years yes that can be possible.

By the way, 8years in indeed quite far!

First Google the meaning of DELTA, then you would understand why the British couldn't dare to build a road for over 100 years from Lagos to calabar through the DELTA. That made them design the route through Benin

Funds. Do we have the funds to push the manpower and equipments to site.

If the job is billed to cost 15trn, what you described will push it up to 100trn.

You will need more than three times the number of machines, experts, technicians and so on.

The earthmoving machine working at point A with the expert can not be at point C. You have to get new ones

The Britiish were not in Nigeria for 100 years

There is nothing about a delta that precludes road building
The Britiish did not build rail across Nigeria only from North to South
Does that mean rail cannot be built from East to West?

There was no profit for them building east to West, They were here to exploit not develop.
So then if anyone wanted to go by train from Lagos to Port Harcourt you went first to Kaduna and came down through Enugu
They only built rail to the coast to exploit and export our resources not to develop the country

Your argument does not work
Even Lagos state in the 50s and 60s was similar to much of the Niger Delta. .it was reengineered and much land reclaimed

Stop making baseless assertions

These same British put a tunnel in the ocean between Britain and France inside which is a a rail and road track

The British were running things for over 100 years. Learn your history not kanuri empire.

Besides I doubt you Google about the meaning of DELTA

Nigeria did not exist for 100 years before independence

What does
RUNNING THINGS mean
How do you define that?
Are they not RUNNING THINGS today?

Imagine the ignoramus telling me to learn History

When did The Sokoto Caliphate fall?
When did The different parts of Nigeria fall
When did The British create Nigeria?
If Nigeria did not exist why build roads to join it up?

The point is if Nigeria as an entity did not exist why should they build a road from Lagos to Calabar? When was Eastern Nigeria merged with the Western part?
Why did they not build a road from Sokoto to Maiduguri?
Why no road from Ilorin to Jalingo?
Why not Lagos to Accra?
Were they not RUNNING THINGS in Accra?

I do not need Google to understand the meaning of anything
I have a brain and I use it
There is nothing about a delta that precludes building of bridges or roads
Stop all this ignorant talk
