Just like Huawei phones the BYD is under serious trade barriers which is of course affecting it EV sales, but that doesn't mean its not selling, they even introduced a cheaper model "seagull" at $10k which of course made the west panic and introduced a harsher trade barriers. It's quite sad that Africa is not a potential market yet for EV otherwise Tesla will not see their back.

So because China "export" more EV they hold 80% of the EV market...Yes China EV account for 60% of the world EV sales.. so out of every 10sales 6 are China made, china has the highest market shares in the main component of EV, which is the battery.
