I agree but make una dey try endure say dem don die before una rush go bury them...24 hours sometimes is too short to fully assume that someone is clinically dead...there are several cases of people whose Graves were opened only to see that the corpse had actually struggled to rise after being buried.

That's Thier way bro, But we killed a Cow and goat for my Dad, when we came home for the burial, these guys have already calculated the list of drinks that we will buy...they handed over to me, I was pissed, close to 400k to buy drink, they even put Heineken and Stout...lol, fools wan drink premium beer untop our head, I just collected the list and started cancelling all the Heineken and Stout.

I told them that any of them wey Heineken or Stout dey hungry can go and buy it.

Basically, we only did the important traditional rites.

People should be mandated to pay maybe $50 every month to gov for that purpose. Once the money reach $10k, you stopped. And anytime you want leave Canada and never come back again then you might request for your money.

This shows you have not been to the western countries before. They don't want to spend. They are forced to spend because only the funeral house can bury the dead for you. No bi naija where you can just bury someone for backyard. Over here you need a proper funeral house to arrange the burial and it costs money to buy land space dress and coffin for the dead. Not money for food.
