LexngtonSteele:Why turning this to ethnic war now. And as usual you have identified him or her as a southeasterner. The guy never mentioned anything concerning tribe here but your croocked and wicked mind has started fighting the south Easterners. You people will soon tire |

SSpeter:Here is what I am thinking.. the Country knows better; Years ago, we heard of a president of one of the most influential countries saying, Africa is a burial ground.... these case are now proving him right. The Ghanian Man with similar case spent his youthful age and skills outside his country likewise the Nigerian. At least, they should be given citizenship based the 10years basis that most countries have adopted.....my opinion. |

US,Canada, UK..it's all modern day slavery, the moment their government no longer find you useful then they'll eject you like a f35 jet capsule seat, you didn't acquire citizenship and you're in a limbo, probably not paying taxes as well, then they'll say omo come dey go back to your corntree |

Yorubas are miscreants in the UK abi? When we start with you now, you and your people will start shouting victimisation. The bias nairaland moderators will rush to issue a ban on us if we respond to you in the way you understand yet they will turn blind eyes to your abuse of the whole Yoruba tribe now.... Anyway, it's a Monday morning. Get something serious to do with your life..,.. chigator2: |

Sadly this may still become the story of some of these youths that are currently doing Japa blindly... Nothing is new under the sun. Bi o ti wa latitikose, o nbe nisinsinyi, be ni o si maa ri titi aiye ainipekun If they had told him to stay back in Nigeria back then he would have scoffed the idea but the UK hasn't done him better either... Life is Life! No one truly understands its workings |

Okoroawusa:I think it is the other way around. He milked them because he had been living in that country for 38 years without paying taxes. He doesn’t have papers or a work permit to enable him to do legitimate work, probably doing under-the-table jobs those days to make ends meet. Anyway, I pity his condition because coming back home to Nigeria at his age without money to take care of himself is going to be tough on him because our own system doesn't have provisions for the elderly. |

ariesbull:Yea, but we have seen so many more who are making it. Especially those ones who believe in returning to Nigeria. They work hard, send things back to Nigeria for the rainy days. But there are some who just dey live oyibo life style, hoping to benefit from the NIS (insurance scheme) but one mistake in their documentation will see them being catapulted back to Nigeria unprepared. Though some of them are simply unlucky with life.. |

Too bad for him, especially because of his health condition, but such clime like UK don't condone with poor integrity test. He was poorly did in by bad lawyers he had in the past who (with or without his knowledge and/or approval) had tried to play smart on the system. Hope he finds help though! |

Santalpharay:See Guy, the UK SYSTEM does not give in to sentiments. There are rules. That he suffers from stroke does not mean he can't be deported except if there is a substantial evidence to show that the stroke will rapidly deteriorate upon arrival in Nigeria. He also had the chance to get an indefinite leave to remain after spending 20years under the long residence rule but his lawyer fvked things up by submitting a forged document which is why he is in this situation. He may be able to get respite at the appeal tribunal if the judge will be linient. As I wrote, no sentiments |

I can only visit UK, I can’t live there. Also they seem to be targeting black people. I have not for once seen Indians or Asians been mass deported and they are the major ones which such policies should affect. |

The social engineering, "Deportation" , weapon often employed by Western nations is something the Nigeria state has not yet learned to deploy. There are many people Nigeria should deport. The Nigeria state should take advantage of the fact that we don't in Nigeria keep much record on Deaths and Births. I have hardly met a Nigerian with a birth certificate. If this is as widespread as I believe, Technically, many Nigerians are not citizens of Nigeria. Nigeria needs to deport many people from Nigeria, where they end up, Nigeria shouldn't care. Deport the self-entitled Swaggering Angry of Nigeria to the Libya desert! |

The real colonization is Fulanis installing and occupying Ilorin and its environs as you people look helplessly and bowing to their command without complain. Finally you have gotten what you wanted.
