Why do people waste their time arguing with that guy.

What he's going through is called Stockholm Syndrom. No amount of argument will save him or make him see reason.
Exactly why a lot of people are supporting a man that built only 1 brewery in 8 years and no single school.

Real Stockholm Syndrome grin

Anybody renting out his car at the moment, will go bankrupt, there is no 2 ways about it.

I am well experience in this business.

I only release some of my cars to couple of drivers on certain conditions. The ones I know and they live within my area. You can only drive 3days in a week. Thursday,Friday, Saturday or Friday, Saturday, Sunday.

Sharing formula, I take all 2days earning, (and there is a minimum you will earn) and you take 1day. Once you close work you park my car and it will rest for another 4days.

Close monitoring, no room for nonsense.

When you face tough economy, you take tough decisions.
The key to making this work is that minimum amount. Else, they will just convert all trips to offline and you'll have no way to determine the exact amount he makes.

Only when you understand that you can live a good life without running kiti kata.

Mr. Park and Type, so you don't know that people that supported a man that diverted state money into his family's business are already cùrsed? grin

Lolz... What kind of setup is this?
Well, only people working part-time and people with little or no knowledge about the business will accept this condition.
Also, this doesn't guarantee the protection and or safety of your car.
As anything can still happen in 1day and ur returns will not be enough to cover the risk.
Better to increase weekly fee and set working hours rather than this arrangement.

I will also advise not to do car rentals too at this time if you value your vehicle.
So all fleet owners should recall their vehicles till further notice?

Sometimes I wonder the kind of advice people drop here.
Someone said, driver will drive Thursday, Friday and Saturday.
Another person say people should not give out car on rental 🤣

My statement reflects the steep expenses of acquiring OEM parts and maintenance as a result of current economy situation , coupled with concerns about the potential for damage due to careless drivers. In my opinion, the car rental business presents numerous challenges, making it a tough endeavor and prompting investors to question if the risk is worth it.

For fleet owners, as you mentioned, they're in the best position to determine if the rental business remains profitable after carefully considering maintenance costs and risk management. They can then proceed, acknowledging and accepting the risks that come with it.

So you also noticed the reply timestamps?
Every reply was done the very minute which shows how useless they are.
Sockets connections are different from HTTP connections which nairaland uses. On sockets connections without a page refresh, you get real-time updates just like Facebook but you have to refresh a page on nairaland to get updates. This means they stay on their phones always to refresh - useless and jobless beings.

Do you know there's a plugin on chrome called auto-refresh? it helps to keep a page active as long as you want. grin

You are a disgráce to National Open University of Nigeria for scámming people on Nairaland. If you want me to go into further details, I may as well be pleased to even mention your náme and even post your picturẹ́s but then let's enjoy the moment grin grin

A good car doesn't require maintenance everyday. If u get 160-200k monthly on rentals and do repairs with 40-50k every two months, I dont think that's bad business.

You keep mentioning that OBI also said he would remove subsidy.
Do you want to say you didn't experience this situation in OPEN University you went ; different people will copy from a candidate during an exam but the person being copied will pass the course more than others. Because there are equation and technical skills the person must have used but the olodos like you wouldn't know but all you had to do was just to copy.
Same as tifnubu who heard others said they would remove subsidy, what he didn't know was they would have taken steps to cushion the effects of the withdrawal.

Keep stalking the person that came third because we all know he's a big threat to APC.

As I mentioned, all these factors are subjective and hinge on having a reliable vehicle and, most importantly, a trustworthy and diligent driver. If your assessment proves successful after 3-6 months, you can proceed, but honestly, that's not always the outcome.

NB---Servicing a car alone is more than 50k currently.

So I will be so jobless that I would need a plugin just because I want support tifnubu unless I'm being paid. Even if you're being paid, the money paid to you are peanuts that you can't even buy a car but looking for rentals to destroy within a short time when you have no basic maintenance knowledge just like your mentor tifnubu who lacks basic knowledge to run a nation but destroyed it within a short period.

Keep chasing shadows about the OPEN University, sorry to those that went there, but it's for destitute students like you that wrote UTME several times but failed at all attempts. I've never stepped my feet there so don't chase an unnecessary shadow.
