Journey time: 7 hours..normally 6 but guess there'll be traffic today because of the bank holiday.

Distance: 350 miles.

I've done this trip several times but we intend to drive without stops except we need comfort breaks.

So snacks at the ready.

Home made sandwiches
Fruits
Water
Sausage Rolls
Rice Cakes
Olives
Crisps
Lucozade

Essex is one of the flattest and driest counties in the UK, Cumbria the opposite, mountainous and the wettest.

I'll add pictures once we arrive but in the meantime. Enjoy the pics of the landscape as I traverse from south to North.

In spring, early ☀️ summer, it is truly a beautiful place.

Some funny places names we have. Drove past a place called Trumpington😂

Let's hope the place smells better and is not scandalous like the former POTUS.

3 miles to Scotch Corner, then we turn left, heading west to Penrith.

There is no "i better pass my neighbour" with these people, they are their own Neighbour.

UK is small and populated they say but see greens everywhere 😀

Scotch Corner at last and now sat in Traffic....again! ( sigh)

But you can tell we are up north now because you can just about see the undulations in the skyline.

That and the fact that the sky is grey!

Been wanting to capture so clearer pics of houses..

Manage these ones..everytime I see something nice, bush has covered the view before I can snap pishure.
