Alhaji Aminu Ado Bayero, former Emir of Kano, has arrived the ancient city.

The whereabouts of the monarch has been unknown since he was sacked by Governor Abba Kabir Yusuf, on Thursday.

The New Nigeria Peoples Party (NNPP) controlled House of Assembly had repealed the law which ex-Governor Abdullahi Umar Ganduje assented to on December 5, 2019.

After assenting to the law, Ganduje split the emirates into five and appointed Emirs in charge of each.

But while signing the repealed Kano Emirates Council Law, Yusuf gave all the Emirs affected by the law 48 hours to vacate their palaces and hand over to the Commissioner of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affair.

He had subsequently announced the reinstatement of Alhaji Muhammadu Sanusi, whom Ganduje deposed in 2020.

The governor issued a reappointment letter to Sanusi on Friday and he led Jumat prayers at Government House, Kano.

But in the early hours of Saturday, Ado Bayero returned to Kano to a crowd of supporters.

The aircraft which conveyed the monarch touched down at the Aminu Kano International airport at 4:30am.

He was immediately thronged by his supporters, who were chanting a verse from Surah Al-Fatihah in the Holy Quoran.

“You (alone) we worship, and you (alone) we ask for help (for each and everything).”

While some others were saying, “God the Almighty will kill your enemies.”

The former Emir, who was fully dressed in royal regalia, did not respond to the crowd as he took his steps consciously.

He later observed Subhi (dawn prayer) at the airport.

The greatest evil against our traditional institution is the meddling of Politicians. They bastardise it and make it a tool for their selfish use.
What happens, if in another 4 years another governor comes and revert back to the repealed law?

How was he given the throne in the first place? Was it not by dethroning someone else? Now it's his turn. And of course, every leader whether good or bad must have die hard supporters.

APC government dethroned Sanusi based on his critics against Buhari government. So, this Emir should not pretend as if he deserves the throne. He should have declined when he was appointed and insist on the right thing to be done but he didn't. They let their throne to be decided by politicians so they shouldn't complain.

Bola Tinubu is the one doing all these ahead of 2027.

He is the one setting Rivers on fire, Kano, Kaduna. His next stop will be Edo, Plateau and Adamawa.

They call him master strategist, he could be when it comes to Nigeria's dehumanized political game, but that does not make him a good leader. The enormous Lagos treasury he controlled and stole for 23yrs straight gave him the morale and audacity to dare anything in Nigeria's politics.

Politicians in Nigeria are keen at destroying every fabric of our institutions. They meddle in everything that seems to be working, making sure they render those things useless. Traditional institutions should be a no no to all politicians.
