PDP Publicity Secretary Appologizes For Its Failure In Abia For 24 Years by OredoPikin(op): 6:43am On May 26, 2024

The Peoples Democratic Party, PDP in Abia State, South-East Nigeria has tendered an open apology to the people of the State for what it says was, “not meeting their expectations” while in power for about 24 years in the State.

The Party is however appealing for another chance, promising to make amends.

Acting State Publicity Secretary, Abraham Amah who addressed journalists after a stakeholders meeting in Umuahia, says the lessons learnt from their mistakes will be used to chat a new course for the party in the State.

He is happy that the PDP across the 17 Local Government Areas of the State is still intact, despite becoming the opposition.

Amah praised the resilience and oarty spirit of the members under what he describes as hostile state and national governments.

The Umuahia meeting is the first by the Abia State PDP stakeholders, since the party suffered humiliating defeat in the 2023 general elections.

I know they're still with the 24 yrs monthly allocation and other funds meant for the development of Abia state that they cornered to themselves without remorse, they should bring it back to the state before any apology.

Abia state wasn't voting for PDP, the governors manipulated inec, if not for that Inec woman who stood her ground, PDP would still use backdoor to claim the seat just as the governors in Imo, Enugu, calabar and ebonyi state

The man shamelessly talked of 24 years. So they knew that they wasted time and looted the state resources for 24 years, until LP came to power.

Unfortunately for PDP, Alex Otti and Labour Party are putting up very strong performances everywhere in the state. Sentimental comments will not remove LP from power in the state. Now we see a much better Ava and Umuahia. Developments are taking place in every part of the state. PDP can keep their apology to themselves.

The people of abia state should bannish any members of PDP in the state, if all governors had done half of what Otti has done in 1yr the state would be ok,.but you can imagine the evil done by every Governor since 1999 till date should never be voted into any office again in the state

Abi refund. If the party is rendering an open apology, it means the administrators over that period of 24 years have not put public funds into good use and need to be queried and made to refund all the monies stolen during that period
