They keep quiet because we will turn them into victims. Really the girl child is really disadvantaged and we should empower them from childhood.

As for the suspect, we should drag uniben to conduct an investigation or we bypass them.

Students Union will not speak up now, na to de collect money and shout Aluta for nothing!!

Like you said, the lecturers have a target market: average & dull students. So it is easier for the lecturer to say 'sleep with me & I will move you from F to D' or another ridiculous grade.

The evil lecturers ( I actually think it is evil to prey on weak girls academically) have co-evil students who act as identificators of their target. These students are so crazy that one in my school was in charge of notifying the girls and taxing the boys who were to 'sort' to pass.

I also observed that if lecturers know a girl to be promiscuous, they want to 'collect their own share'. And if a girl sleeps with a lecturer, the other lecturers in the click who have an influence over her grades want to do so too.

In all, I have seen girls rather fail than sleep with the lecturer. In my school, a girl & her boyfriend set one up, another girl got her parents to beg, another one ran to her fellowship and they made him a prayer point.

While the girls capitulated out of fear & desperation, it is not rape except he physically forces himself on them. If a lecturer is harassing you for sex and invites you somewhere, common sense will tell you that he wants to at best continue the harassment and at worst sleep with you.

I hope there is enough evidence outside social media rant to nail him.

Unlike other girls who jump on the hypetrain while being lazy and dumb at passing courses. Some lecturers try that shiit and they were caught when the students got hardcore evidence. It's very easy these days with spy gadgets. I have seen this happen and the lecturer was dismissed. I'm talking raw video evidence of his diick dangling in the hotel room he got to fuq her and he was even talking shiit and everything. That was justice.

But what these girls do is come online and rant all over SM without any evidence and you want him to be dismissed because you said so? Many of them are coming out years after the shiit supposedly happened and they don't even have any shred of evidence. How will he get convicted biko? Because y'all said so? But all the girls on the thread went ballistic when I called for evidence and you are the only one with enough logic to engage without mumu sentiments.

Look at all the noise Timo Dakolo and his wife made on the socalled rape saga but the pastor never went to jail because of NO EVIDENCE. They even got counter sued. The only was to stop evil is to fight it, with glaring evidence, not SM rants.

Most of them must have been kids who lacked steel. They fold easily when harassed and are afraid to speak out cos the lecturer will likely threaten to kill or keep failing them. Imagine a kid of 15/16 gaining admission and is being harassed in 100/200L. They are voicing out now cos they have grown wiser and bolder

History&Intl studies, philosophy, foreign languages- faculty of arts in UNIBEN ,Bunch of useless lecturers. This Tony guy and Felix Oserhieme in history dept. They are all heartless. I graduated in 2007. They were all lecturer 1 or something as at then. As a guy they will destroy your life with missing result, and make you look for money to block them. For ladies they demand for sex on a daily basis. Sad to see how helpless we were back then. Felix,all because I typed my final year project myself and did not take it to his business center back then gave me a C in the final project. The rest today is history! These folks will never go unpunished. As at then even most of the senior lecturers does the same thing! They are now the ones calling the shots in the school… the poor student are helpless. Sad!

Since he took away their ability to record him and get proof, maybe the internet is the only tool they have left at their disposal.

I’m here explaining to you this simple concept that a primary school student probably understands and you have the nerve to talk about my intelligence.

When it’s obvious you don’t even possess the brain capacity of a rat. If you are smarter than a rat, why do you need this simple idea explained to you?

Allow me to step into this fight and separate Una.

The fact is
...both of U are partially right. He is right to suggest that evidence is needed and U are right to counter that the students can probably not gather evidence using gadgets......

But they can still be ingenious and gather evidence with either simple tech (like having a separate phone in a bag or buying a cheap camera pen or glasses), or they gather evidence using first hand witness (caught pants down. Even if he locks the office, It is wrong to lock urself in with a student when there was obviously no need for privacy. So a student shouting with a man in a locked office is significant probable cause.)

Now because the students did not do the right thing, this man will never be caught. He will become more careful. There would be an investigation, but in the absence of a more compelling evidence, the case will be dropped eventually. The university will just do some restructuring to save face and he might just be allocated another course in a department with very few females.

I am a lecturer so I know the drill. Fact is, except the man stepped on the toes of some very big shots, no public university will ever sack a lecturer based only on hearsay from the students. They know the potential of students to twist the narrative horrendously in this social media age....and they will want to avoid lengthy litigation which the lecturer will eventually win and the university will have to pay him a heavy compensation and reinstate him.

But if there is hardcore evidence, any panel sacking the man can do so with full chest knowing that they have the right basis
