DeepSight:
Whats the answer to the hyper inflation we are faced with?

Unfortunately, things cost money, according to one nairalanda1.
And unfortunately things cost money to keep things cheap

Many communist countries tried what you want, and they ended up in debt

Maybe you want us to end up in more debt, Comrade Deepsight, It's what Marx ordered.

cheesy

Comments like this are how you know the problems of Nigeria. The lazy youths who have never experienced the joy of planting something and watching it grow and later eating it fresh from the farm/ garden! Always eager to leap to insults to cover up for their laziness and inadequacy.

Plant what you can first and break this ridiculous dependence on rice that we have now cultivated. When we were young, rice was Sunday food and one other day of the week, now people eat rice everyday, a food that doesn't grow well here and dumped farming altogether and expects their economy to thrive.
People wey dey farm and them dey kidnap and kill them for their farm nkor?

Does anyone really need to be told this? After this rainy season comes to an end, I will not take anyone who still complains of not having food to eat serious. The only reason anyone should not be farming right now is that they are financially capable to buy their foodstuffs at whatever price it is sold at the market. Anything less than that, go and farm!!!
See talk . Everyone can’t be farmers, if you have a space where you can farm; be thankful because some people are living in areas where they have no space to farm while some can’t afford to buy a space.

Again , how many crops can you plant ? Tomatoes, pepper, vegetables? Cassava? Melon? Yam? Onions? Rice ? Lol
You should think very well next time before posting some opinions.

Don't mind these people saying plant this plant that. Many of them don't have 2 meters of land they plant on . You see even you plant different crops on one plot you must eat before harvest, during harvest some crops are perishable, how do you keep such , some take long to harvest and after harvesting needs processing before consumption. I can only support vegetables garden and which is seasonal
But that poster has some tangible points. The rate at which the youths of this country, especially Igbos, are running away from farming these days is alarming!
A people that want to be independent, yet most of the food they consume are supplied by northerners! Funny.

We seriously need to start farming what we eat! It is very important!

everyone will plant rice too abi, try dey pretend say you get sense by not making this types of comment

Farming for ones personal use will not solve anything, because you will still have use for other commodities that are dependent on fuel.

Which means that you may need to sell some of your farm products to get those commodities, so would you sell your product cheaply or the present market reality??
You're wrong. Farming will solve a lot. Yes u can't grow everything in ur farm. Even if it's just tomatoes, peppers, cucumbers and the rest vegetables will save u a whole lot. U don't need to grow everything u need

In fact, we should all be farmers, and plant all what we need at this point. undecided

When Peter Obi was criticizing the government instead of sharing ideas on how to fix the economy you people were supporting him. Now the repercussions of what unpatriotic elements like Obi did is why the economy is so messed up.

Keep supporting Obi instead of praying for President Bola Tinubu and expect to buy things at a cheaper rate.

Very soon you will be buy one seed of tomatoes for 1k if care is not taken.

May God bless president Bola Tinubu and give him strength to fulfill his renewed hope agenda. This renewed Hope will Favor me and my house hold. Amen
Olodo, you left your so called president and shift your blame to someone who is even on his own.

Are you normal or just feel like yarning thrash to put insult to the injuries Nigerians are going through...
How many people in urban areas can afford to even lease a land. Then you talk of planting and fertilizers all are not easy to come by. Those complaining are those that don't have the money to buy land and farm. This that can afford a land aren't even complaining about high cost of food
Do you need to lease a land to plant tomatoes?

Everybody should farm, na everybody get land?

How will those in Lagos and other city do it?

You people just open your mouth waah! without common sense.

Even in a well fed and food sufficient nation, farmers are not up to 50% of their populations.

If everyone is farming who will patronised tomato sellers? Is it everyone that like to farm?
10 years ago, this tomato is sold for less than 200 Naira. It is due to incompetent Tinubu and Buhari that prices of goods skyrocked. They want to tax us for everything. They want to remove subsidy where there is none,in other for prices to increase so that they can have enough money to steal.
