But thinking out loud, is there no way we can write to this German Embassy to stop this nonsense delay? why are they making Nigerians spend money to apply for a school, get an offer and after which they won't attend the school because of the delay from the Embassy. This has to stop ooo. I don't know of a country that their Student visa takes this long. After all their offices are in our country, if they don't have enough hands, let them employ nah.. This is getting out of hand, we need to look for a way out guys.

This was done 2 years ago (when the waiting was still one year) and nothing came out of the process. All efforts were ignored.
When they deem it fit to make changes, they will do it themselves without any pressure from us.

Hello guys, please I had my interview on the third of May and I was told to come back with prof of funds on or before June 2nd. I’ve had several issues getting the money into my fintiba account with my funds being rejected twice. But finally the complete blocked fund is in my account but fintiba is saying it’ll take an extra two weeks to verify my source of funds. So I wanted to ask can I use the account statement that’s reflecting the entire 11,208€ ?

Please is there a whatsapp group to join? I recently got admitted into German University.
how will I know which category that I belong to?
Please help oo

Have you booked for appointment at the German embassy or consulate? If YES, you either belong to category A (you came out with first class or you are going for doctorate degree) or You belong to category B (you came out with 2.1, 2.2 or 3rd classs). Secondly, I don't think there is any WhatsApp group. Every information is here. Follow the thread.

If the account statement is reflecting the said amount, then worryless. You should send it. Send a mail also explaining the situation at hand. Don't worry they understand such situation because you are not the first to having encountered such a problem.

The school equally gave me a deadline to pay for semester fee.

I think you belong to category A. I stand to be corrected though. Those in category A get appointment date quicker than the other category. Semester dues is paid every semester. I guess you are referring to upcoming winter semester? Kindly pay within the deadline. Without paying, you will not be given matriculation document known as enrollment certificate. You actually fall under category B as 2021 is not in recent session. Everything is clearly spelt out at the German website.

I guess you booked under Category B and already in the waiting list but just want to know if you can book again in Category A. All the best to us in the waiting list

no I am here, need help with something. Are you coming here?

If you reside in Lagos, you don't need another appointment to give them print out from Fintba indicating the availability of the blocked funds.Since tomorrow is Friday, don't use courier like DHL or UPS, rather walk up to the embassy and drop it there. Use an envelop, write your name, contact address and phone number on it. It is better to go before 12noon.
But if you reside outside Lagos, you may not be able to meet the deadline of 2nd june. If so, then use DHL in your location. Use express service for quicker delivery.
Then send an email to info@lago.diplo.de explaining the delay as a result of verification of source of fund. All the best. May your efforts be crowned with resounding success. Cheers

These things are not hard requirements most times. You're a privileged applicant. I know someone who has a first class, and applied 3 weeks ago. They gave the person an appointment a week after. They'll surly attend to you. If you have admission, have enrolled and have your BA or SL, apply asap.

Ohh thank you so much. I realised I got the date wrong, they said on or before June 3rd which is Monday so now I’m confused if I should wait till Monday or just go ahead and submit it tomorrow 😔

I’ve gone to the embassy. Just left. I was told to write them a mail detailing the issue and email trails between the bank and I. Also, when the document is ready I should also forward it and attach the previous mail.
