The Presidency on Monday accused the Nigerian Labour of playing politics with its ongoing nationwide strike.

President Bola Tinubu’s Special Adviser on Information and Strategy, Bayo Onanuga said the organised Labour in Nigeria is harming the people it should be fighting for.

He lamented that sick people cannot have access to medical care at government hospitals due to the nationwide strike.

Posting on X, Onanuga wrote:

“It’s saddening that Labour could go to this extreme. But it is not surprising to the perceptive minds. Labour is harming the Nigerian people they claim to be fighting for. Today, many sick Nigerians cannot access medical care at government hospitals.

“Not even those with critical medical conditions. It appears labour is playing politics by other means. Many of the affiliates of the two central unions, NLC and TUC are members and supporters of the Labour Party.

“They logically bear ill will and grudges against the Tinubu administration. Otherwise, the issue they claim to be fighting for cannot be resolved by blackmail or sabotage, they cannot even be resolved by the Federal Government unilaterally, the Labour leaders will still have to return to the negotiating table.”

APC/Tinubu is a curse upon this nation.

You removed fuel subsidy
You floated the Naira ( dollar went from N700 something to N1500)
You increased electricity tariff from N65/unit to about N265
The cost of living has tripped in just one year
Foodstuff prices have soared in just one year
You bought SUVs for Legislature.
Gave Judges/ Judiciary their own cut.
and you tell labour to collect peanuts.

Return to pre-May 29 2023 economy and labour will continue with their 30k minimum wage. simple solution.

The harm Tinubu brought upon Nigerians is more than the harm you claimed by NLC. It's obvious you're part of the system, little wonder you chose to use this reverse psychology on over 200 million citizens of Nigeria.

It is now the duty of NLC to provide for the workers and not the useless government.

Today, many sick Nigerians cannot access medical care at government hospitals

Nigerians in their numbers are dieing daily because they cannot afford basic medical health care.

Have you guys reduce the salaries and allowances of all political office holders in Nigeria niii. Back in the days that you guys will always put up lies and propaganda to malign the fights and right of Labour unions. Today Nigeria people’s eyes are cleared. Agree to the Labour unions demands on the new wage bill and increase the wage further. Nigeria workers are suffering, Nigeria people are suffering with the hyper inflation of Tinubu government. If Tinubu loved the people so much, he wouldn't have embarked upon all these calamitous economic policies that have only succeeded in inflicting premium pains on the people.
