President Bola Tinubu utilised his first year in office to examine the shortcomings of the previous administration of former President Muhammadu Buhari, according to PDP chieftain Bode George on Friday.

George did, however, voice optimism that Nigeria will be fixed in the upcoming year by Tinubu’s administration, which will address the shortcomings of Buhari’s.

The PDP leader remarked during an appearance on The Morning Show on Arise TV.

George agreed that Tinubu should have a grace period because he has no prior presidential experience.

George claims that Olusegun Obasanjo, the previous president, need some time to acclimatise to his first year in office.

“Tinubu had never held the position of president at that level. You could argue that he was a member of the APC, which put Muhammadu Buhari in power, but it’s very different from that to take the helm and manage the group now.

“To be fair to my conscience, he has taken that year off from trying to learn from the mistakes made by the previous government. Since he has now seen it and resided there, I have granted him that one year of grace.

“I anticipate that his ministers will have returned in a year with those areas of deficiency. Baba (Olusegun Obasanjo) was still attempting to ascertain what transpired there or vice versa during his first year in office in 1999. “Let’s extend his time,” he remarked.

I dont like him but unlike many Nigerians who are irredeemably wicked and hateful, with black souls, George shows he still has a good soul by allowing himself to be guided by the revelation of the terrible and scary rot Tinubu found on ground (Emefiele and Buhari crew looting od trillions for example) to then implore more time for Mr.President who is his sworn enemy.

Ogbeni, learn from George who is the worst possible enemy Tinubu can have yet is reasonable and progressive enough to change course, after revelation of what Tinubu met on ground, to then suggest sensibly that Tinubu be given two years to impement his ideas and reforms designed to rescue Nigeria.

Those of you calling the head of a badly failed nation all manners of unprintable names, after a year in charge , dont understand your zeal to hound out Tinubu only reveal you are 100% biased and unobjective plus driven by hatred, bigotry and primordial sentiments.

Otherwise it should entirely human, rational and expected for intelligent and genuinely progressive folks, intimately aware of the problems and challenges Tinubu met on ground, to give the President at least two years to turn around the monumental rot of 25 years ,since 1999, his own way.

Rrasonable electorates worldwide vote leaders and are prpeared to give them reasonanble time to deliver or leave. They don't feign total ignorant of the problem a leader is facing caused by others.

Yet what part of the blame, for where we are today, do you apportion to the OBJ government that made £16 billion dollars dissappear for NIPP (national integrated power project) that added approximately zero megawatt to our National grid?

What of Jonathan that sold our DISCOs (power distribution companies) to his incompetent buddies to leave the monumental ineptitude that led to lender banks taking charge of bankrupt DISCOs that could not deliver as mandated?

If you did you would not pretend not to see the many good Tinubu has done and would not be advocating for his ousting after a year in charge of a ship that was almost completely sunk when BAT became President.
