Lagos issue of flooding isn’t as a result of natural disasters but bad and terrible drainage systems coupled with littering. I wonder why the government haven’t taken a bold step to address the drainage issues in Lagos state all these years. |

What were you expecting before? Does Propaganda give infrastructural development? This is to show you that the Las Vegas they constantly shout about is actually a super disaster waiting to happen. Before 12 years..time....e go happen . Biggerbrocom: |

Those that have hyped Lagos to infinity, believe Propaganda will actually elevate their delinquent status. Lagos is a disaster waiting to happen...the topography of that place will not survive in 12-20years time. The push back of the ocean is what you are seeing and when the resultant overflow will occur, then the usual Yoruba failures will still blame IGBOs Lagos is thoroughly over hyped. Biggerbrocom: |

Its nature fighting back. I will affect all lands, but it starts in places nearest to the sea. Whenever land is reclaimed, the displaced water will find its way in unprotected spaces. |

Sheuns:the last time they took a bold step many said they are demolishing their houses cos they didn’t vote apc The most annoying part of it is that those people who played tribal games when demolition was going on are the same people who will talk down on Lagos now |
| Re: Catastrophic Flooding In Lagos by Goodnewsforlife: 9:09am On Jun 10, 2024 |
rantingpigs:sheuns This is what I am talking about The same people who played tribal game that their houses are been demolished for not voting apc are the same people who will mock Lagos when flooding happens If I happen to b in power, I will demolish all houses blocking drainage irrespective of what the victim game tribe have to say |

Sheuns:it's easier to demolish houses than clean drainage and canals |
| Re: Catastrophic Flooding In Lagos by Sheuns(m): 9:22am On Jun 10, 2024 |
Goodnewsforlife:Demolishing houses isn’t the only solution to the drainage problems. Fashola demolished buildings still the problem persists. The drains in Lagos are small, narrow and shallow. I am not an engineer but the types of drainage systems in Lagos state have proven to be ineffective in allowing proper flow of water. Why not try something deeper, wider and completely closed drainage system and see if it’ll work? We can’t keep doing one thing the same way and experts different result. |

Goodnewsforlife:When we blame the buyers, we also need to heap more blames on the sellers of such lands. The sellers know better than the buyers but still go ahead to sell areas that are meant for water to pass through to unsuspecting buyers. Let’s keep the tribal cards away and address the main issues. A law should be made to prosecute both sellers and buyers of such lands. |

Stop claiming lands close to the seas or rivers... Stop blocking drainsges. Government should provide waste bins to people so that they stop disposing waste or refuse into drainages. People that live near canals or rivers should have their toilet and stop disposing waste into the canal Stop building 🏫 on drainages |

What is making you waste time... Keep demolishing...cant you see that IGBOs didnt even complain? Where you expecting igbos to beg you? If you don't continue the demolishing then you are COWARDs. Ozuor Goodnewsforlife: |

You Igbos are not complaining but one foolish one just open a thread lamenting about coat of building approval instead of the foolish soul to go n build in upper iweka or Agulu. rantingpigs: |

Go and demolish the house even after they pay building permit. You are foolish, if you think 1 persons activities represents the greater majority. That is why your brains are wired to water buckets, to generate foolishness in your DNA. ![]() EcoNews: |
