Hi have been part of the travel section since 2012/2023 when the likes of Imperiouxx, Yvette, BigFrancis21, GboyegaD, and Justwise. Justwise did a great job sanitizing the travel section keeping it sane as the moderator.

I am interested in moderating the travel section.

Travel information is vital and I strongly believe people need a totally healthy and safe space to seek information and Nairaland has presented such opportunities. But this safe space needs to be moderated by one who is unbiased, selfless, and have a passion for travel.

I came back here to be part of the community again making sure nairalanders have a safe space where they can share vital information for travel/immigration.

I am one who believe in treating people with dignity and respect and also making sure rules and regulations are being followed.

Aside moderating the New Hire Teams channel within my organization, I also help run the Facebook page of my Catholic parish. These are some of the volunteer work I do to give back to the society. I have stable internet access, a personal laptop, and the bandwidth to take on the moderator role.

I am available for further discussion via chat, teams/zoom or phone call.

I thought I was the only one that caught it. This Seun of a person can be downright arrogant and inherently opinionated. To describe his moderator in that manner tells more about his own so-called "leadership skill". No be only AWOL, na AMISS.

Anyways, I wish the new moderator good luck. But whoever that person happens to be, he/she shouldn't forget the Yoruba adage that says; "Pasan ta fi na iyale, o wa lori aja fun iyawo" which roughly translates as; "The whip that was used to beat the senior wife is somewhat kept in the ceiling for the junior wife as well".

If I don't get chosen as a moderator, I strongly recommend Tensazangetsu20. He is presently unemployed and always on the Internet. This means he has so much free time. Also, he is very good at dishing relevant and accurate travel-related information. You need someone on standby to moderate this section.

Dear Mr Seun.

Please do not use passion or credentials to pick your candidate otherwise you might make an irreversible mistake.

Check the profile of any member coming from Nairaland and make sure that he or she scored 75 over 100 in unbias communication and that he or she is absolutely coming from USA or Canada Visa section.

That person must be Godly. Have natural love for others and have patient of Job.

I will recommend if possible not to be a Yoruba or Igbo. Female is also highly recommended. God Bless Nigeria.

I'm the right fit for this job, Mr Seun.

I own a Forum website that I built by myself using the same software that nairaland started with (SMF) and I know how it works perfectly.

I do have a vast experience in social media management. I am a very collected and ambitious young man who's always wanted to be judged by my ability and paid for it.

Talk about being active, nairaland is literally my home. Most especially, the travel section.
This forum has helped me tremendously and I would do anything if given the opportunity to keep it going.

There are number of ways you can vet volunteers to make an informed decision.

1. A short Zoom/Teams/WebEx meeting. Here you can access volunteers interest, experience, and any qualification you deem fit for the platform.

2. You can conduct a brief phone session to see if the volunteer aligns with what you have for the travel section.

3. You can make it a formal and open application straight to an email and you can vet that way.

I am willing to go through any you might deem appropriate or comfortable.

@justwise deleted my post just yesterday because of you base on the fact that you were discouraging people from seeking available opportunities in the United States.
