[quote author=vikaosi post=130411515]Please could someone assist me with a list of documents I need to submit for France tourist visa. 1) your completed application signed 2) free cancellation hotel on booking.com 3) flight is cheaper, or you book your train on eurostar.com Hotels are closer to gare du nord ( ibis and co) if you travel by train but by flight you will have to extend your search to charles de gaulle. 4) 3months bank statements just print it out 5) payslips 3months, if you are studying include a letter from school if working, letter from employer( optional tbh) 6) Travel insurance from royal mail website or on voyagertravelinsurance.co.uk less than 20quid. 7) include a cover letter. Check others list of documents. All the best. |

Collected our Passport and we got Visa of 45day single entry Biometrics date- 20th May 2024 Collection Email- 3rd June 2024 Am a frequent travel with previous 1 Year Schengen Visa (expired Nov 2023) issued by Italy, Previous 3 Months Schengen Visa Issued by France, Valid US and UK Visa. While My wife had only Germany Transit visa and Valid UK Visa Hence she is a first timer to Schengen Area. I was Suprised that we were given just 45days single entry with maximum stay of 30 days .Anyway we shall manage it, Goodluck everyone : |

Congratulations. I have noticed this pattern, when one of the partner is a first time traveller to the Schengen area … they give both the frequent and first timer same few days or weeks, if they apply together. Why they do that I don’t understand. diabolo: |

You can use that, but is it free cancellation ? If not go on booking.com ibis, premier inn, holiday inn so many budget cheap hotels with free cancellations and breakfast. Letter from employer is good, and your contract of employment, and if your employer can state that they are aware of your holiday dates it is beneficial. Now I can not guarantee you 6months, funnily enough my first schengen visa from the UK back in 2018 I was granted a year with multiple entry, I used that visa like the world was going to end lol which was unbelievable, my friends then were granted 2weeks a friend had 5days (lol) and my subsequent visas after was 3months and I got a less than a month at some point ( although my passport at the time had exactly 6months validity. It depends on the person treating your case tbh. The pattern in the past used to be 3-6months then a year, three years and 5years. But alot has changed and this brexit thing didn't make it any better. As many supporting documents to proof that you will return. Because you are in the Uk doesn't make it automatic, Italy denied me after I have had 2 multiple schengen visas from France, hungary denied me and yes it is from here in the UK but France was nice to me as I went there the third time but I used the visa to still go to Milan since italy denied me. Greece is very generous also, and they do have more appointment slot, I think with them you can even walk in to their embassy I think on a thursday but that was like 5-6years ago alot might have changed. All the best. |

diabolo:Sorry about that, this is the new trend. There’s no sssurance that even if you had applied singularly(excluding your wife), you’d have gotten a longer term. I asked around and this is the new thing. It’s wild |

thelma76:Does he applied for single or multiple entries? I am not disputing your claim, but when my brother submitted his application last month, he got a 3-year Shengen (France) visa. When he submitted his application, he applied for multiple entries, and he had an expired one-year Schengen (France) visa and expired 2-year UK visa stamps on his passport. Apart from France and the UK, he has also visited Mexico, the Seychelles, and Belize in the past. |

It doesn’t matter what you applied for. They give you what they wish. No actual criteria. I and my kids applied for 11 days single entry but I got 5yrs multiple entry while my kids got different durations ranging from 2-3yrs. mamawa123: |

Good evening My sponsor forgot to stamp her bank statement. Is this going to be an issue? Can I also submit it like that? |

Nonamexxx:unsigned, undated or unstamped bank statements or docs are regarded as invalid. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Zoey1: 4:55pm On Jun 19, 2024 |
How do you mean stamped? Eg, whatever you get from GTB online is signed, stamped and valid and needs no further stamping. Except the bank doesn’t do that. Nonamexxx: |

Please who knows the average processing time for france visa. I am seeing on TLS website extended processing time of 3 weeks minimum. I am afraid because my appointment for submission of application at TLS is tomorrow 20 june whie i booked my flight 12 june. I don't know if The application would have been processed and returned for pick up before 12 june. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 11:20pm On Jun 19, 2024 |
You mean july ? From the day of your appointment you need to allow up to 10-15days but it may be longer but in most cases within 2weeks. Check with others, they posted their timelines recently and it was within 2weeks, but do not forget due to the olympics round the corner they may have a slight back log and that may add more days but fingers crossed and all best. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Atinukemi23: 11:33pm On Jun 19, 2024 |
yerilistik:Flight booked and already paid for ?that is a big risk when you can not guarantee the outcome? Although if what you are saying is, because you claimed you will be travelling by the 12th and incase they haven't treated your application closer to your travel date will that have a negative impact on the outcome ? I do not think so, there is still enough time you still have more than 20days, they know sometimes you may not even travel on the dates you put on your application, if not they should have been issuing the specific dates and duration only except cases where you going for an event and that date would have passed within that waiting period then maybe ? So Relax. |

You get mind o to book flight before getting approved visa. I want your type of courage abeg. Anyway usually they process application within 8 working days. Pray yours don’t get delayed due to Olympic rush. All the best. yerilistik: |

Blessedsteph:I tell you, but that's how i have been doing it previously and luckily i havent been denied and the advantage is i pay cheaper flight because i book well in adavnce. Like you said, its a big risk though. |

So you guys is it normal to get an email from tlscontact that my application has been transferred to the consulate the few hours after submitting? Shouldn't it take like a day or two? |
