Almost 4000 religions in the world. Every sect believes their version of God is the ideal one. The one that pisses me off the most is the sect with thousands of conflicting denominations. Take it or leave it. If we're judging by the standards of the white fairytale old white bearded God widely believed in by majority, the existence of such defies logical reason. I'll ask some questions. If you can't answer any properly and directly then your God is baseless and useless. Where was God during the Holocaust? Where was God during the Nigerian civil war? Why didn't God protect the end sars massacred protesters even with all the prayers? There are always multiple churches or a mosque in most streets in every part of the country, why isn't your dead God answering Nigeria's prayer? Why do most Nigerians become less religious after leaving the country? Do the maths. |

Negroid001:Your conclusions are drawn out of your own myopic view of the world and religion. In all of the religions, two things are possible: if man set out from a point in time and space, they must have carried along a knowledge of God from that place or they got to a point when they feel there is a higher power outside their reach that controls things. Besides, reading through the Bible, and the prophecies, you will discover that there is a being somewhere controlling everything globally from the prehistoric past to the foretold future. Only very few people share your view, just insignificantly few called atheists. God does exist. |

MightySparrow:Who is myopic? The one who believes in something that was indoctrinated into him or the one who is free? |

MightySparrow:Read the bible? You didn't read my post well. What church do you attend? |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by MightySparrow: 3:39am On Jun 23, 2024 |
Negroid001:Indoctrination is everywhere in the world. You are indoctrinated into one thing or the other. You are made to believe in a way depending on your location. Seeing world view from that standpoint is what I mean by being myopic. Religion on its own is not giving to academic knowledge. Professors of a leaning can overlook what truth or science for fiction of rel |

the bible says, every house is constructed by someone but the one who constructed everything is God. what do you have to say about that? |

MightySparrow:I've read the Bible.. I'm yet to see any evidence of the god you're describing in there. I'm not saying your god does not exist.. but so far, I'm yet to see any tangible evidence that suggests it does. |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by Wilgrea7(m): 5:45am On Jun 23, 2024 |
Lessonteacher:1. Using the bible as proof of the god of the bible is like using Spiderman books as proof of Spiderman. It's circular reasoning. 2. You're basically trying to address the question of why the world exists.. but that's merely an offshoot of the question, why there's something rather than nothing.. and a god does not answer that question |

Wilgrea7:Have you considered the prophecies of Daniel and others like Isaiah, Obadiah, etc about the world's events, even some writings of Moses written about 4,000 years ago and their accuracy? It can only take a person who is in charge to write history in advance. |

MightySparrow:Your submission here is a masterclass in begging the question and conflating correlation with causation. The existence of religious beliefs and prophecies doesn't automatically substantiate the existence of a higher power. It only highlights humanity's innate desire for meaning and control in an uncertain world. Nothing new to see here. |

Lessonteacher:There are so many books to read from which are not religious or scientific Something can't just create itself from nowhere. Yes there could be supernatural beings but not in the description of the religious people |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by helinues: 6:36am On Jun 23, 2024 |
My own conclusion about whether there is God or not is , if we can create robots and limit their level of intelligent, then we human could have also been created while our level of intelligent was deliberately limited. Not all the questions have the right answers. Something can't just popped up from nowhere The curiosity about everything is what if Earth is just like BBA for some supernatural beings to entertain themselves or show their capabilities? |

Lessonteacher:The philosophy books. Those are logical without any form of religion attachee The day I learned about Stoicism, honestly things changed because the message is just something logical |

Wilgrea7:And it's dumbdr to think the earth and our multiverse came from nothingness I'd be foolish to think a complex solar system came into being without the planning of one grand architect It's like saying every one of science inventions were never done by anyone and just appear from nowhere Imagine seeing a phone on the ground or even a robot, then start assuming that no one made it that way |

Negroid001:Where is Zeus today? Jer.10.11 - Thus shall ye say unto them, The gods that have not made the heavens and the earth, even they shall perish from the earth, and from under these heavens. Jehovah reigns. For ever and ever and ever. |

JessicaRabbit:What about him, he was a Jew also. However, if he ever saw anything, there are nothing new in his prophecies that the Bible has not talked about one way or the other. However, he knew nothing about the creation of the world and those things that happened before his birth. How do you suppose Moses knew the story of creation? |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by ReacherSaidNoth: 9:20am On Jun 23, 2024 |
DevilsEqual:Who is making the claim that it all came from nothing? In reality, god believers are the ones who believe in nothing, because you believe in a god made by nothing, who created everything out of nothing. The only intelligent position to take as regards the origin of the universe is that we don't know. If we ever do find out, it's most likely to be through scientific effort, not stone age religious beliefs. |

Negroid001:This is very stupid. You don't care about anybody but your misery filled sellf which God had already fore said happens to those who do not follow Him. And when God came He Said "it is finished". So, finish as you wamt to finish! |
