Wilgrea7:You do not see that all over the world we have "holy day" changed to holiday? Or the leap year only occurs in nigeria alone? Or did you not see Isreal return to their place in 1947? Or did you not see the red moon? Guy, rest, God does not need you. |

Lessonteacher:The bible is written by human beings. There is another book which also stated that God of the bible was created by another thing. Go and read Book of Truth. That's the name of the book. Should we believe the book because it stated how Jehovah your god was created? |

MightySparrow:Cultures around the world have creation myths. The Egyptians had a cosmic cow birthing the sun god Ra. The Babylonians had Marduk slaying a sea monster to create the earth. Creation stories are not an exclusive element of Christianity. Besides, if the Bible is the ultimate authority on history, then why does it contradict verifiable facts? The Bible might be a fascinating collection of stories, but when it comes to demonstrably true events, it drastically falls short. Unless, of course, you believe the world is flat and the sun revolves around it. |

DevilsEqual:Who gave you the impression that I believe the earth and the universe came from nothingness? I'd be foolish to think a complex solar system came into being without the planning of one grand architectI've said it before and I'll say it again. What you're describing, is the question of why there is something rather than nothing. Pointing to a god does not answer the question. I will explain. The universe and its constituent stars and solar systems are very complex. yes. Your belief is that they must've been created by some intelligent being. But your logic works against you. Your alleged intelligent being, assuming it exists is also incredibly complex. Probably more complex than the universe itself. So how can that complexity just exist? How can a more incredibly complex god just exist? Why does it exist? You see my point now? We're just trying to figure out why stuff exists, and why the stuff is the way it is. And this also applies to an alleged god. A god doesn't answer the question. it just pushes it a step further. You probably want to tell me that this alleged god is way beyond human understanding and so on. Now my question to you is, why can't I say the same for the universe? To reiterate, I'm not saying the universe came from nothing. I don't understand the universe neither do I understand how it came to be or why it's here or why it's the way it is. And I'm honest about it. If you want to claim a god is the answer to all these, then you need to also answer why the said god is here, why he/she/it is the way it is, how it came to be, and so on. And most importantly, with reasonable proof. The floor is yours I guess. |

MightySparrow:Wrong. Alleged prophecies have existed all throughout history. And not just among the jews. A prophecy is basically a prediction of what will happen in the future. There's often a sort of reasoning behind it. Sometimes things happen as we predict, sometimes things don't. Also, I'm doubt that the compilers of any religious text would be keen on adding in "prophecies" that didn't come to pass. Unless of course it was a prophecy about something that hasn't happened yet. For example the coming of christ, which was supposed to happen before some of the people standing with him died. Spoiler alert.. it didn't happen. Take a look at the world around you. There are TONS of prophecies being made every year. Both by religious figures from different sects, and regular people. Some things happen.. and some don't. That's the nature of prediction. It's nothing special, and certainly isn't anything "divine". On a side note. The whole idea of prophecies has implications about the future and freewill that I'm not very sure people from your religion would agree with. |

Wilgrea7:The value is that i pointed out the fact that if you could read what she said then you saw she said "look at a house" which we all know you have no reasonable or valid answer to give, which is why you are complaining about my sticking it to you. Wilgrea7:You are the one trolling because clearly you cannot deny nor refute nor truthfully counter any of these clear facts! So clearly, you resorted to troll since you cannot answer, exactly what happens to.all lies because it is The Law "THERE IS NO VALID ARGUMENT AGAINST THE TRUTH! So, your trolling and and attempt to rubbiish my response witbout any facts just proves you have nothing. |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by MightySparrow: 2:20pm On Jun 23, 2024 |
Wilgrea7:The false prophecies you talk about is already prophesied in the Bible that false prophets will arise towards the end time. Christianity of today interpretes the prophecies of the Bible writers. No one is getting new revelations now. However, in some little way, God still talks to people about their lives and environments using the written word as a cursor. |

Wilgrea7:I.have always told you, stop setting yourself up for someone to call you stupid for are we all not seeing how the universe is? And which normal person cares why stars are in the sky or why we walk on our legs and not on our bellies? And which normal person has not concluded that it is this way because Whoever made it, made it to be that way as He wanted it? After all, your house is as you wanted it to be no matter who you put in it. Thirdly, even asking "why this or why that" IS GOAL POST SHIFTING! The topic is Proof of God/how the unoverse came to be and not why this or why that! Then from time immemorial, no one has been able to come up with any othet reasonable and valid alternative beyond that it is God Who made it. So, until another valid and contendable answer is given, God Wins, exactly as this 4 stand guilty unless they show that another person commited the crime, because a crime cannot commit itself, exactly how the universe did not make itself https://www.nairaland.com/8131334/magnus-okeke-four-arrested-over#130585940 |

JessicaRabbit:Fallacy and shift from post. The topic was Nostra and prophecies but now you have craftily shifted post to creation stories and bible falling short on True events. Whereas, Isreal's return to their land in 1947 is looking at you! If only people would learn and see that you atheists make invalid arguments! |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by StillDtruth: 2:38pm On Jun 23, 2024 |
geoworldedu:Fallacy! She did not ask you to believe the bible as True, she only asked you to look at what it Said as Truth, if you can dispute it. Which you can"t Which is why you are fallaciously creating what you want to use and argue, thereby committing OFF POINT! Her argument stands! |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by Wilgrea7(m): 4:59pm On Jun 23, 2024 |
MightySparrow:Christianity of today is not the point. All throughout time, we've had people make predictions and prophecies about the future. Some happened.. some didn't.. regardless of religion. That's my point. |

MightySparrow:Matt 16:28 Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. |
| Re: Re - There Is No God. by MightySparrow: 6:38pm On Jun 23, 2024 |
Wilgrea7:Matt.16.28 - Verily I say unto you, There be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the Son of man coming in his kingdom. Mark.9.1 - And he said unto them, Verily I say unto you, That there be some of them that stand here, which shall not taste of death, till they have seen the kingdom of God come with power. Luke.9.27 - But I tell you of a truth, there be some standing here, which shall not taste of death, till they see the kingdom of God. This was an event recorded by three individuals. They reported according to the perspective each saw it. This was told the disciples about His nature and a sample of the future things to happen and that the dead saints were available and resurrection is real.. In the next verse in the other reports, what He meant came to pass. While Matthew stopped the chapter with the verse, others continue . Matthew then contacted in the next chapter. Mark.9.2 - And after six days Jesus taketh with him Peter, and James, and John, and leadeth them up into an high mountain apart by themselves: and he was transfigured before them. Mark.9.3 - And his raiment became shining, exceeding white as snow; so as no fuller on earth can white them. Mark.9.4 - And there appeared unto them Elias with Moses: and they were talking with Jesus. Mark.9.6 - because he did not know what to say, for they were greatly afraid. Mark.9.7 - And there was a cloud that overshadowed them: and a voice came out of the cloud, saying, This is my beloved Son: hear him. Mark.9.8 - And suddenly, when they had looked round about, they saw no man any more, save Jesus only with themselves. Mark.9.9 - And as they came down from the mountain, he charged them that they should tell no man what things they had seen, till the Son of man were risen from the dead. Mark.9.10 - And they kept that saying with themselves, questioning one with another what the rising from the dead should mean. So, it was a prophecy and a teaching to his special disciples. There are similar things that the disciples never understood until after His ascension. If you know of any other, let us know. |

| Re: Re - There Is No God. by Wilgrea7(m): 8:31pm On Jun 23, 2024 |
MightySparrow:No. it failed because it said something will happen, and it did not happen. You're the one trying to formulate a hidden interpretation to protect some idea of infallibility in your book. |
