The renewed political romance between the presidential candidates of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP), Abubakar Atiku and his Labour Party counterpart, Mr Peter Obi, is not new. But will it last this time and in whose presidential interest? SODIQ OMOLAOYE reports.https://guardian.ng/atiku-obi-alliance-another-marriage-in-whose-interest/

What is yet to be clear, however, is the chances of Obi returning to the PDP or the possibility of a merger between LP and PDP. Another puzzle is whether Atiku and Obi can dump their respective party to form or adopt another one if the merger becomes impossible and who will be the presidential candidate of the new partyConstitutionally, Atiku can't contest as vice president after 8 years. Would Peter Obi vice Atiku ?From presidential candidate back to vice president candidate . ![]()

DevilsEqual:Wetin desperation no fit cause. Peter Obi don't have any political ideology Did you know that Labour Party as a party did not have documented manifesto in the last election? https://www.nairaland.com/8133759/labour-party-did-not-documented |

The only way for this merger to work out is if only Obi will agree to run as the VP to Atiku. Atiku can never, ever, succumb to being Obi's vP. The fact though, still remains that even Bacterians are tired of their cocaine-sniffing master and would definitely secretly want a change. |

Atiku should take kola to Igboland and carry Peter Obi. The Agulu Gbajue is Atiku’s beech. Even Obidients are salivating at the prospect of being Atiku’s VP |

Tinubu won against the wishes of the President, VP, Senate President, Service Chiefs, etc Now that he's the President, Atiku and Obi want to defeat him. Peter Obi is too small. All the gods of Igboland combined (including Amadioha selling fanbelt in Lagos) can't defeat Tinubu. |

RushManni:You Igbo Obidients are shameless hypocrites. Peter Obi can win 97% in the East but APC winning 55% of the SW is giving you headache. Didn't we all see how you were beating up those who voted APC? In 2027, you will know that there is nobody that doesn't have brother. We are waiting for you LP rats in the SW. Surprise dey for una. |

Please anything that must be done to stop this greatest disaster (APC) should be done immediately. APC has destroyed Nigeria almost beyond redemption. |

For me, running for the office of the president come 2027 is a total waste of time and resources, because the chances are slim and almost impossible for a Master Chess Political Player like Tinubu to lose What would Reno Omokri do in this situation now, would he make a U-turn to start supporting and singing songs of praise for Peter Obi? 🤣🤣🤣😂😂😂 |
