Families have passed on inheritance from one generation to the other which is good for the family and society. I'm sure you like Mercedes Benz cars as well as Levi Jeans and a bottle of Coke. Probably the fuel in your car came from ExxonMobil. These are family wealth built through inheritance passed from generations. For me, it is simply hollow to claim independent life as better and more honourable than inheritance when almost all human race see inheritance as a valid means of obtaining wealth. Even the education you are touting is an inheritance for your children. If you really wanted them to be independent, you should have taken them to a workshop to work, earn money and self-fund their education.

I'm afraid your first phrase is incorrect. In "Islamic Law", it is actually a very big sin to deny a widow and the children of the deceased access to their husband/father's inheritance.

You could extend your last sentence further that women are not ideally supposed to "open their legs" to anyone before marriage.
