Anioma? Knowledgeable Igbos know that a new state between Imo and Anambra States or from only Imo state, is where a 6th state in the southeast deserves to be located.
But some poorly informed Igbos of "give us Biafra or death" say they want rejoin with their lost? Anioma brothers through having Anioma as 6th state in the southeast. Foolishness!!

Where are those Igbos that were disturbing our ears that they shoudl create Anioma state instead of Orlu state? I was just on the sidelines following all the myopic arguments. So in the head of some Igbos, Anioma people will agree to become the 6th igbo state? Delusions of grandeur.
Igbos should start having sense, until Anioma resolves it's identity issues, it's not interested in becoming part of the southeast. Many of them are not interested in the igbo identity and you cannot force it on them.
What you will do is to help them agitate and create another south south state who will then tell you that they are not Igbo.

Oga, there has never been any state creation that you do not have back and forth. During the Midwest referendum, Olu of Warri said all the trash about his people wanting to remain in the Western region, but when it came to referendum they overwhelmingly voted in favour of Midwest.

State creation depends on the politics of the moment not really the fantasy of the people. People of the present Delta state never wanted to be part of the state. Same with upland people of Rivers state. But politics helmed them together into one state. Today, today, they are holding on to the states.

The politics of today favours Anioma state in the south east. All Anioma people want Anioma state, south east wants it, urhobo people want it and there seems to be a national consensus about an additional state for the south east. This is what matters more not press release.
