I thought the Government has stopped banks from collecting maintenance fee.
Why is ECOBANK collecting maintenance fee from my account?.
Imagine collecting maintenance fee of 200 naira or more from the account of 1 million customers and they will say they have made profit for the year not knowing they defrauded their customers.

Zenith have been charging me for ATM maintenance fees for years on credit card that expired long time ago.

Nigeria banks are armed robbers wey no dey use gun

If you don't have anything doing just go to eco bank and enjoy your maintenance levy.

They are all fraudulent. I dint know which account they are maintaining.
So if I have 0 naira as my account balance will they still charge me for account maintenance.

That's the advantage those bankers are using. You see all those greedy people wey go stock money for their accounts without telling their family members, the moment the bank is aware of their demise,na their money dem dey use to give loans.

What are we going to do. It's not like one is better than the other. See first bank on Saturday just carry #300+ from my account. No alert, no message, I don't even know the reason or the bill and that's how they do every month.

We Nigerians do not know the power of organising and taking direct action. If we did, we'd be fighting these banks together instead of each fighting themself.

It is all the way from CBN, and must therefore be fought at legislative level.

Handling charge, it.said would be at 0.30 percent and would be received from the Current Accounts of DMBs with the CBN.

You should not be trying to rectify this on the phone (see above).

And do note that the "₦200 they are charging monthly", is airtime credit that you could have wasted elsewhere, and is ₦2400 they are charging annually when they ought to be paying you interest for using your money,

I've reposted below the "see above" in case you missed it.

The bank does not even need to respond to your complaint before you complain to CBN after 2 weeks. And once the bank know you are an expensive trouble maker (it will cost them responding to CBN), they'd likely stop stealing your money.

For security reasons I do avoid those apps stuff as I dont want to have them in my phones.

I don't need to pray to any god for such blessings because the gods have already blessed me with the powers to ensure these "petty deduction", which you are here complaining about and making an issue of, are not an issue for me.

In fact, the gods will be pissed off with me and take away their blessings if I let thieves steal money from me that I could otherwise be using to bless others. There is after all a person in my vicinity who is grateful I give them ₦1000 a month.
