BruceXavier:Congratulations Bruce. Do you mind telling us the exact date you submitted your application to tls / did your biometrics. ? Also how many days did you put on your application that they gave you three months? Sorry if it seems like I'm prying. I'm also waiting on a response on my application so the anxiety is off the bat. Congratulations once again |

Hi Everyone, Has anyone recently applied for Business visa (short stay) here? I have applied twice this past month and was denied. I don't know what I'm doing wrong. I submitted every necessary documents from CAC, payslip, statement of account, invitation letter, introduction letter, my CV and portfolio being a visual artist, and many online publications of my works, but still refused. I am wondering what could be wrong. I have a travel history to Cote d'ivoire, Cayman Islands, Lebanon, UK transit visa. I am confused why I'm being denied, even after providing sufficient informations and documents about the program I'm going to attend. |

Passport collection alert ! I received an email this afternoon informing me that my passport is back from the consulate and ready for collection. As a reminder, I submitted for biometrics on the 20th June 2024 so it's about 8 or 9 working days from the day of submission. I only hope visa is granted. Will be going there to collect the passport tomorrow. |

It’s not about you thinking. If you don’t pay taxes in your country which made your company or the company you are working for inactive then you aren’t law abiding. It’s simple. Think whatever, that’s the simple logic. pufframmy: |

Sorry to burst your bubble. All these your travel history doesn’t concern Schengen. To them it is no history. Now, why are you applying for business visa? 1/2 times? Has the programme not ended? Or it has t started at all and you were applying ahead? Visual artist? You don’t have any ties , and it’s easy for you to stay put over there. If the program can’t be attended virtually, you have to a thorough convincing for France to allow go physically. I never saw tax details in all documents you said you submitted? And you have a company? France? Maybe another country sha. Slimszy: |

Never heard of this before , but i think you are supposed to fly from day visa begins to count. Summerbutterfly:However, shortly after covid i knew people who flew into kenya with this kind of case too. Immigration only can answer this, best you reach out to them ahead if they will pass you. |

pufframmy:If you carry an inactive cac information or documents to apply for visas , your visa can be rejected. I know UK own is too obvious, but all Schengen countries are not exempted. Use https://search.cac.gov.ng to check your company status, if you need to make modifications, do them. Pay your taxes and attach receipts, give the consulate enough evidence to verify. Schengen visa is now even easy to get, if you can crack their jinx and do all needful. Wishing all intending Goodluck. |

No idea. My advise would be for you to go to the airlines airport office and ask the people at check in counter. Go asap so if it’s not possible, you’d have enough time to think of way out. All the best Summerbutterfly: |

Yes. you can board. You are touching that country when the visa starts. If your visa expires on Aug 8th and you leave a country France same day , arriving Nigeria a day or 2 after… you won’t be termed an overstayer in another country by your immigration. Summerbutterfly: |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Blessedsteph: 10:59pm On Jul 02, 2024 |
These are 2 different scenarios. His visa isn’t valid as of his date of boarding. The rule is that Check in staff must ensure each passenger has valid visas. Same as the immigration officer that will stamp him out. Remember that check in desk will scan the passport not just normal reading so it blinks either green or red. I suggest he goes there to verify. To avoid surprises. Zoey1: |

Slimszy:What were the reasons for your denial both times? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by hunee: 11:40pm On Jul 02, 2024 |
Absolutely. However the unimagineable happens in Nigeria if you can do "normal" So the idea of him/her visiting the immigration section of the airport to verify in advance is most appropriate. Good feedbacks you gave there!quote author=Blessedsteph post=130767775]These are 2 different scenarios. His visa isn’t valid as of his date of boarding. Not correct i think. This is a more sophiscated route. This person is traveling to Europe, let them visit the immigration department of the airport to verify Zoey1: |
