You didn’t give them any reason to believe you will not violate your visa terms since you have a sister there, it’s easy to just stay back- Softlanding. You have to prove stronger ties at home than that of France. What are the things that would make you come back home? Show it to the Visa officer. Marcgrace: |

Hmm okay so Hi guys. I was asleep earlier and just woke to see I had a text from TLScontact that my passport had been returned two hours ago. Submitted application and biometrics 20/06/2024 Passport collection today 05/07/2024 So basically 12 working days I'm a bit scared Very scared. I'm a first time traveler. |

| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by yerilistik: 9:00pm On Jul 05, 2024 |
Nonamexxx:Wauu, the wait is almost over. Relax and be hopeful. Though you have every reason to be scared as a first timer but i tell you a lot of people are getting the visa but not coming to say it on the platform here so be optimistic ! |

| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nonamexxx: 9:13pm On Jul 05, 2024 |
yerilistik:Thank you. I feel a bit better I guess. Is there a way to know the outcome before opening my passport? I know this question is weird but like when I go to tlscontact. My passport would be in a brown envelope, right? Does a bigger envelope mean rejection (since it comes with the rejection letter) and doesn't a smaller one mean it has be granted since otll be only ones passport? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nonamexxx: 9:15pm On Jul 05, 2024 |
Zoey1:How can I know the outcome without opening my file? I don't want to open it at the centre because I wouldn't be able to stop myself from crying if denied and it's embarrassing. I plan on just collecting it and giving it to my mum to open it. So yeah,is there a way? |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by yerilistik: 9:35pm On Jul 05, 2024 |
Nonamexxx:Sounds a bit funny though....I haven't heard of size of envelop indicating if visa granted or not but i know when the passport comes with a letter then very likely visa not granted. |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Nonamexxx: 9:46pm On Jul 05, 2024*. Modified: 3:48am On Jul 06, 2024 |
yerilistik:Okay thanks Hold on sorry. I just reread. Are you saying when I go there. My passport would just be handed to me? Without any file or seal? This part "i know when the passport comes with a letter then very likely visa not granted" |
| Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by Zoey1: 9:18am On Jul 06, 2024 |
Sometimes some of your own documents are added with the passport on return. Sometimes, it could be a letter telling you a date to come and present yourself physically after your return. yerilistik: |

There is no way to know. You will get your documents sealed and can’t tell. Nonamexxx: |
