xaves:Do not expect any emails from the embassy. You can only track the progress of your application through their website. Recently, it took someone’s application three weeks to move to "under review" after posting her application to the embassy. So, relax! God bless you. 🙏 |

MsKay04:In addition to Walexx feedback to you, I also want to say don't attempt to fly Qatar (especially if you are showing really well, or if you're close to your limitation date. I am sure you'd have had an idea the reason why from previous posts here). Baby things of high quality are cheaper in Nigeria than here, and the difference is a whole lot (based on my neighbourhood here anyway) |

I was about asking this guru about the update on his daughter's provisional citizenship when I realized that this post was made over 4 years ago and his last active time on NL was over a year ago and no way he would respond. Lol @ MsKay04, another insightful post up here for your reading pleasure |

MsKay04:Please how did you process your 1 year visa? Were you pregnant with obvious baby bump when you processed your visa? What kind of visa was it? Please help with details, my wife is almost 5 months pregnant. I need help. |

Good day everyone; Thank you all for all the very insightful comments and contributions. I have done my due diligence by going through the comments on this thread, however, I still have a couple of burning questions which have not been clearly answered. I believe I am not the only one looking for clear answers to these questions. I speak on behalf of all of us .... any useful response we can get will go a long way. 1. At what point of pregnancy is it best to apply for the Tourist Visa? ( I ask this question because we need to conceal pregnancy but at the same time, we also need to ensure that the visa lasts till when the pregnancy is due) 2. Is there a standard duration of the Tourist Visa? Does it vary or does it depend on anything? 3. I understand that we should not use any agent but can anyone give some form of coaching on the kind of questions that may be asked during the interview and how to answer them? 4. If Husband and Wife are applying, will they both be invited for the interview and can 1 represent the other? |

Hello guys, thank you all for all the insightful comments on this thread. They have been tremendously helpful. My wife is just 7 weeks pregnant and we are looking forward to giving birth either in Brazil or in Mexico. We are currently living in the UK. Which takes me to my questions. 1. Has anyone applied for the Brazilian visa from the UK? 2. Do have to contact a Brazilian lawyer to assist with the visa application and advice? I would like to know where to start from. The plan is to get her a visa first, then later on I will begin my own application. I need help and advice on this please. Thank you guys. |
| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by Reliancemedia: 9:49am On Jul 14, 2024 |
ManlikeDavies:you should get France tourist Visa if you want Mexico as France or any other Schengen country Visa will grant free entry to Mexico. For the Brazil Visa you don't need any lawyer. You are to apply from the Embassy in London. Go to the Brazil consulate site in London and read the procedures and requirements for VIVIS visa. Also read this Nairaland thread and also send the Embassy an email for possible questions you may have. People on this thread are very helpful too so you can always ask specific questions. Good luck. |

| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by ManlikeDavies: 4:15pm On Jul 15, 2024 |
Reliancemedia:Thank you for the suggestion. I highly appreciate it. I contacted a Brazilian immigration lawyer, and received their reply. They charge $1250 for visa processing and follow-ups for the child's citizenship and permanent residency of the parents. I suppose it's worth it considering the services they "claim" to be rendering. Another option is if I can get recommendations to someone who has gone through the entire childbirth and permanent residency process in the past, and is currently residing in Brazil to carry us along with the whole thing. We discuss payment, then I can pursue the visa process myself. |

ManlikeDavies:Do your visa yourself, be rest assured that you will get it so far you have a legal status in the UK. Even Brazilian consulate in Nigeria dey issue VISA like water for some days now. NB: I will suggest you go for MEXICO. Getting Schengen visa will be easier and you can enter Mexico with that. Shalom. |

| Re: Giving Birth In Brazil by untamedd(f): 2:02pm On Jul 16, 2024 |
ManlikeDavies:You can apply yourself. I have a friend that applied from the UK, I can ask him if he's willing to put you through. Don't use a lawyer even when you get to Brazil, they just complicate things. |

Yes, I was. I think they wanted to check if I was pregnant. I wasn't showing much at the time, so I dressed very well and walked smartly. Some of the questions I was asked: 1. My travel history. Most were work-related so I said this one was for tourism. 2. My marital status, how many kids I had, and whether I was looking to have another one soon. 3. My husband's profession and where he worked. 4. Places I planned to visit and how long I was staying for. I hope this helps. Zatu123: |
