My first choice frm childhood days.

But i have learned to prefer and love Canada more.

1.Cause it's a very quiet, peaceful, progressive, n generous country 🇨🇦.

2.It's very close to d US, making going to d US n getting a green card very easy.

As for d UK it has always been a no no destination for me i just don't no why.

Things are more affordable in d US, the US has more job opportunities with gud pays, vibes n diversity. But d guns. Americans cannot do without their guns.

Western countries to a great extent would continue to suffer economic crisis as long as they fight China. The animosity towards an economic giant such as China simply because the Han people refuse to cower in fear will affect the global economy. You cannot fight China and expect economic progress, especially for EU nations.

The West would have been able to do away with China if Africa had a prosperous middle class, but after conniving with despotic rulers across the continent, how Africa wan grow? However, the Chinese should be given accolades for expanding their economy via sheer hard work, fore-sighted investments into new technologies and expansion of investments/factories into developing countries. Dictating them to quell its progress does not sit right with me. The same was applied to the Japanese in the name of Plaza Accords.



The reason China is investing in these markets so they grow as China did and can afford goods and services by Chinese companies.



I am curious, how exactly considering the US' economic situation is the best amongst all Western economies?

I had some involvement with the penetrative efforts of UBER in South Korea, who is btw supposed to be a western ally. The underhand tactics and the subsequent "blockage" of Uber's first (mis) adventure into South Korea to pave way for the local competitor (I have forgotten their useless name sef) really changed my perspective of things

As for investments going to India, some are owned by Chinese businesses. In other parts of Southeast Asia, and even Morocco, Chinese businesses are the ones powering those moves. The West initiates a policy, China surges along. Moreover, many Western firms are still staying put. They never leave a much poorer Russia, na China dem wan leave? The manufacturing and supply-chain ecosystem in China is unparalleled.

So, yes, some investments are moving away from China, but are financed by Chinese businesses. It is a Win-Win for developing countries. So, I am surprised that rather than agitate for African countries to benefit from China's derisking, you advocate for clipping of China's wings. Whereas most technologies Africa(ns) enjoys today are solely because the Chinese made them very affordable and accessible.



Chinese universities are already so good (The Economist stated this itself), except you want them to study Gender Studies and Transgender Mutilation. UK universities cannot survive without foreign students. This is an undeniable fact. The top universities either have to admit more foreign students or have empty classrooms. Although, Indians are fast replacing the Chinese, the Chinese spend more and don't seek handouts. Apart from India, where else do you expect to get students? The ones wey Tinubu don batter? For instance, look at the restriction of visas by the UK, the numbers from India and Nigeria dropped, but not so for China because the terms of those rules don't affect them.



There is little internal consumption in the Chinese economy. So, there is room to expand. And yes, largely a reason they are exporting their goods to consumers who are watching their pockets. So, to stem inflation, countries would have to rely on China for the foreseeable future. Again, Japan's economic fall began when her baby-daddy America twisted its hands to sign the Plaza Accords. Is that what you want for China?



The same also happened in Japan. I read that very article in the WSJ. OTOH, America has bullied foreign competitors with huge fines. Samsung Electronics has been fined several times when it went head-on-head with Apple. The same was done against Huawei, but it has survived. The EU does the same with American tech firms, just as America does the same with European firms. No one is innocent.



You would have to define the Asia here. If you mean the likes of Japan, Taiwan and Korea, those are vassal allied nations. They do what the West wants, any time, any day. German and French companies are making a killing from Chinese consumers. Australia and New Zealand understand the importance of this market and have mended ties. As I stated, this is China, not Libya or Iraq.



Unite with who? The world's economy has shifted East. Get along with them, rather than fighting them. Those days are gone. If you fight them, they embrace China. It is 2024 not 1994.

As for ruling in hell (Naija), maybe you should go advise all these elites, celebrities (wealthy ones) business in Lagos, PH, Abuja, Anambra etc. Make dem vacate the good lives they have here to be a commoner abroad where they will stand 8 to 12 hours at a stretch (and only 15/30 mins break) in certain jobs.

Reason I said he had neither. Even many people abroad doesn't know what it means to live big in Nigeria, it's when they get to the abroad, they will know it's overrated.

Traveling about is not in every man's blood, whether rich or poor. There will always be individual differences in life's choices even in matters as low as food, life no be do or die.
