Perhaps the most barbaric belief in the Old Testament of the Bible is documented in Deuteronomy 22:20-21 which says, “If, however, the charge is true and no proof of the young woman’s virginity can be found, she shall be brought to the door of her father’s house and there the men of her town shall stone her to death. She has done an outrageous thing in Israel by being promiscuous while still in her father’s house. You must purge the evil from among you.”These verses show ultimate barbarism and misogyny as they describe how women who are not virgins at the time of marriage must be stoned to death, Interestingly, there seems to be no mention of what should happen with men who are not virgins at the time of marriage.

there were specific requirements from men who wanted to marry virgins in the bible. Why will non-virgins pretend to be virgins and men will provide those requirements only to discover later that they have been defrauded?. This is why paternity fraud is so common today

Even if we grant that it is bad for a woman to be a non virgin at the date of her wedding (which is nonsense to me) but lets say we accept that. Does it make sense to stone her to death for that reason?

some people have zero tolerance for fraud and have maximum punishment for it. Why will you make a man go through the painful process involved in marrying a virgin when you know you are far from being one?
