Outrage has erupted after a video surfaced showing congregants sleeping outside the gate of a popular church in Lagos. The incident, which occurred in the early hours of Sunday, has led to widespread criticism of the church for its perceived insensitivity.

The video, shared by a concerned Nigerian man who witnessed the scene, shows dozens of people, including women and children, sleeping on mats and makeshift beds outside the church premises. These congregants had arrived early in anticipation of the Sunday service.

Critics argue that the church, known for its large congregation and significant influence in the community, should take better care of its members. "If they can build massive structures and collect offerings, they can certainly arrange for proper accommodation for those who come early," one social media user commented.

Laws governing religious bodies in Nigeria is very poor. Government don't monitor their account books as they don't pay taxes, such funds are for charity and should be accounted for. Charitable works such as feeding, housing, cash for needy, medical outreach
Very few engage in such act. That's why money embezzlement is coming in branches

Where is black man sense of reasoning. Discussion with young chap yesterday, and i was amazed at her response. She said God will provide her with a car and i responded God does not give a car becos He does not have one . He can only give what he has .. omo her response shock me to my bone marrow.

The NAtional assembly should pass a law empowering the state to take 50% of church and mosque earnings. That money should be used to cater for the social welfare of the poor
