If the court rules a no case submission or sets the accused free, so be it. That is the civil way of resolving issues. The alternative to going to court when aggrieved is for each of us to take the laws into our hands which will lead to chaos and anarchy. I find it strange that a lawyer is advising an aggrieved citizen not to file a case against an assailant simply because she is a celebrity and there is hunger in the land or because the court will free the accused. If the court free the accused, so be it.

Celebrities are people too. This actress has been the target of relentless bullying, both online and in person, even facing threats to her and her family's safety. They have even targeted her source of livlihood. Seeking legal protection is her right. As long as she's not aiming for indefinite imprisonment, there's no fault in pursuing legal recourse.
