SFS Capital is also a fund manager and SFS fixed income fund is one of the funds they manage.

Fixed income fund operates just like MMF, the only difference is that it has FGN Bonds as part of the underlying assets ie it has all that MMF has plus FGB Bonds. Many investors who don't wish to wait for bonds because of long-term indirectly invest in bonds through fixed-income funds. The rate is less volatile than MMF, which has a daily rate evaluation.

The word best is relative when it comes to MMF investment because there are other indices apart from rate used by investors to rate funds, particularly the managers of these funds.

Currently, most MMFs rates range from 16 to about 21%. If you are interested click on the first link on my signature to invest in Stanbic MMF or complete the attached form to go with Norrenberger MMF.

The last primary Tbills rate on Wednesday this week stands at 21.24% for the one-year tenor while 3-month and 6-month tenor rates stand at 16 and 17% respectively.

Note primary auction of tbills is normally done fortnightly not every day while secondary auction is every working day of the week.

You can do both with investment one financial services.

Talk to me if you need more clarification.

Never knew you can use NIN slip in place of utility bill. I want to help my sister-in-law open Stanbic MMF but utility bill has been her challenge as they live in their own house in Benin and it is solar that they are using.

If NIN slip is used for utility bill, can the same NIN slip be used for means of identification?.

That is not normal. If you had raised the issue earlier the team in charge could have looked into it to see what could be wrong. Ordinarily if you put in for redemption in the morning you get credited same day. Though It's still possible you get alert today. You can also check your account balance.

Take The First and The Hardest Step to Wealth the Rest of the Steps Will Be Easier

There is always joy in the hearts of parents when they see their baby take the very first step. In some cultures, it’s a big celebration especially if the child is the firstborn. Sometimes a remarkable thing is done that day e,g planting a fruit tree to commemorate the day of the first step.
The first step is celebrated because it was difficult and much effort was put in, it’s seen as an achievement and will lead to other steps which may eventually lead to even walking fast or running.
The first step is difficult because many considerations are made – fear of falling, not sure I can, not used to it, and many others.

Most times investment is like taking the first step, it seems difficult but it has to be taken if you must make more steps in life. One thing with the first step is that it’s somehow uncertain and full of doubts but it’s a breakthrough once it’s made.
Are you still struggling with the first step in investment? don’t be afraid just take it you don’t have to walk fast or run, it’s just a short pace or little movement but don’t wait further take it.

You have just some thousands of naira, don’t wait till it’s millions take the first step and invest in MMF, leave the more complicated form of investment for now and start, as you continue taking the baby steps in investment, you will get more confidence and have stability just like the baby that turns to an adult.

MMF and other short debt instruments with guaranteed capital and returns are like the first step in the investment journey that one needs to take. If you consider too many things you will be reluctant to take action. It’s true inflation is high, the naira value is down, you are not earning enough, plenty of expenses, bad economy etc yet it will be worse if you decide not to make any move and invest. Even the bible says “…he that considers the winds will not sow”… and if you don’t sow nothing to reap.

Imagine if you took that step to invest just 10,000 since January at close to 20% rate, about 2,000 would have been added to the 10,000 even while you are sleeping.
No matter how little, start now and you will find it easier to invest going forward.

Take the baby step now and other steps will be much easier.

Still wondering how to start, reach out to me for a guide.

Ok. You are welcome on board. When placing a trade, if you pick market price, it means you are buying the stock at any available price in the market you are most likely to buy at the highest offer price, on the other hand picking limit option enables you to choose your own price you feel the stock is worth in that case your order can only be fill at that price or lower. However the price you pick must be within +10% or - 10% of the opening price.

If you don't mind, chat me up so that we can do the trading together during market session by Monday or any trading day. I'm sure after about two tradings you will understand better.
By the way it's commendable you already have your investment objective. It's a good way to start stock investment.

You can also visit the stock thread to learn from others.
I will like to see how the trading is done pls. How can i reach you?

Name arrangement is very important when transactions involves cash.

I will advice that your sister should send a mail to customer care, point them to the mistake and ask for the name to be corrected.

They will most likely reply with a form called account update form, she completes it, attach an ID card bearing the correct names, with this, they will effect the change.

However, let her continue to fund her account.
For redemption, it depends on the name that is affected but don't wait for the time of redemption.

I am being told to put in money first before I can get login details. Now my question is how will I know the money has entered the account when I can't see it on a dashboard?

Edit:: my login details was eventually sent last night. Thank you

Please, what does recurring debits mean under the save option?

Also can I transfer the fund from any bank( UBA in particular) to the e account. Because in the video tutorial. It is only standard ibtc that was emphasized

@Ukayo, Thanks for your feedback.
Recurring debit is an arrangement you can make with your bank to invest a specified amount in your MMF account on a particular date.
You can transfer funds from any of your bank accounts to your MMF account.

Please note that your e-account is not a bank account as such, you can't transfer money directly into it. rather you transfer any amount you wish to invest at any given time into the UBA collection account sent to you when your MMF account was opened. You only make sure your e-account is used as the narration/description anytime you transfer money to the UBA account.
