Response To My Beloved Senior, Dele Momodu: Nigeria's Economy Is Not Collapsing. Far From It!

Secondly, Nigeria had a record high of ₦6.52 trillion trade surplus in the first quarter of 2024. This has never happened before. We routinely had trade deficits in the past. This means that because of the monetary reforms by the current government, Nigeria is now exporting significantly more than it is importing, and the growth is largely in the non-oil sector.

Reno Omokri
If Reno is half as intelligent as he pretends to be he would have know that the 2014 figures are far better than this when translated into real naira value adjusted for inflation that is roughly seen in the dollar depreciation over the years.

Has the value of our naira depreciated more than 3 times since 2014?
Is it correct to say that N100 in 2014 is worth more than N300 todayhuh

The first quarter of 2014 saw an N492. 6billion or 14.2% rise in the value of exports, alongside an N140. 6billion or 8.3% fall in the value of imports against the quarter 4, 2013 figures. The resultant trade surplus of N2,424.0billion represented a 35.4% increase from the surplus observed in the previous quarter.

Hopefully, the moderators who pushed the blatant lies in Dele Momodu’s post to front page will also push this well articulated response to front page at the right time as well for balanced reading.

Very Brilliant from Reno. I'm impressed!

I think the Minister of Information and related Govt agencies need to do more in information dissemination. Many of us including Mr Momodu are unaware of this gains in this Administration.

Again, Kudos to Reno

Reno the paid defender, what are you even saying? ..... We're saying that whatever growth the country is making should reflect on the well being of the people. The government is for the people, not for paper projections.
Things are very difficult and prices of all commodities including pms and food stuffs have gone haywire.
Make sure you don't come out to say this in the midst of the people because you may not find it funny
Are you educated or an illiterate? I can understand if an illiterate complains about the hardship in Nigeria but no educated fellow will fault facts churned out by Reno. No country developed without those statistics Reno gave. Till tomorrow all advanced economies depend on those facts to plan their economies. Temporary hardship might be temporary discomfort which US and China had faced during their growth periods.
Re: Re: Urgent Message For President Tinubu - Reno Omokri Replies Dele Momodu by Akinpresident: 9:03am On Jul 19, 2024
Any nonsense growth you think the country is experiencing that doesn't directly impact the citizenship is fraud. It shouldn't benefit the elites only. Nigeria did this, Nigeria did that....how did it reduce inflation? How did it affect cost of fuel and food, insecurity, job creation, amidst other people oriented initiatives?

Reno is either engaged by this govt secretly or he's just ass licking them for a pay.
You can't tell me your party is planning to contest in next election and you're praising your opponents. What do you want to tell citizens during campaign? You want to remove the same govt you've been praising?

Renos response is a clear indication of the conceptual west slave boy.
What is GDP?
What is income per capita?
All these are words coiled to deceive us , where they say Nigeria income per capita or GDP is so so and so while an average Nigerian cannot buy a custard bucket of garri or beans or rice, bread far from the poor.

Una de even make me laugh. How can you develop with the current state of the nation? And you are pointing at those statistics .
Let me tell you for all development indicators, Human Development indiex, HDI, and Life expectancy, LE, are the sure way to know if there is any impact or progress in the economy of a nation, and these are very terrible in Nigeria. GDP is only for government itself. Any progress should reflect on the people.

Reno is one of the people Uncle Dele is talking about ( praising and turning PBAT to God ).
If atleast we see people like Ndume and Uncle Dele saying this daily to PBAT maybe things will be adjusted..

The average Common man on the street does not know what Reno is saying..
The Economy collapse that average man knows is Rice sold at 12k Before has gone up to 90k , Beans of 8k before has skyrocket to 75k ...

Uncle Dele want Mr president to find way to curb the excessive spending and also to find what he can do to make things cheap and easy for the common masses not NBS stats Reno is reciting..

Wetin concern local man with GDP , Foreign Reserves..

Wetin concern average Nigerian is make price of goods come down and affordable...

We no dey eat NBS stats

I am not an economist but common sense tells me that sometime in the past our mothers drank garri while sending us to university in order for us to gain a better life than them. Now they achieved their goal with us and they can eat the fruit of their labour. Same way with economy. Temporary discomfort for better future are not strange. America, UK, China all passed through their birth pains to reach where they are today. Even great China devalued it's currency at some point and it was tough for Chinese. We can't continue running our economy the way it had been run since independence. We need to change it. Only a madman keeps doing something the same way and expects a different outcome. Garbage in, garbage out. Let's allow Tinubu's different approach for once.

We all know why things are expensive except we all want to keep deceiving ourselves. Things have been done so wrongly for a long time and for the first time, we have a president who is trying to correct decades of wrong policies and practices.

Nobody can stabilize the country in four years not to even talk of a year. The reforms Tinubu is pushing is for the economic sustainability of Nigeria in the long term. We must all understand this and accept the current challenges as sacrifices we need to make for a better tomorrow.

No president in recent history has dared to fight Subsidy cabal, forex cabals, state governors, northern hegemonist, powerful monopolist like Dangote etc all at the same time. We should be supporting him to win all these battles and not distracting him with all these noise from pained political losers like Dele Momodu, Atiku and Peter Obi.
This is the problem we are having in this country, even the so called youth doesn't even knows anything about govt operate. It will be easy for those kind of youth to be brainwashed and see fire as shining light.
Sorry to say u are not informed, u are an ignorant.
Subsidy already restored, besides tinubu did not remove subzidy buhari did. So stop saying what u don't know the moment history is removed from the core courses in Nigerian education curriculum that is where people don't know anything again. They don't even know what they want.
Have u seen any economy is the world who operate open market like Nigeria did on naira.
Let me enlighten u a bit
To have a stable or sustainable economy in practical not on paper as this ur idiot omokri wrote
-- there must be a stable currency
No company want to invest where there investments will turn to dust. Just imagine investing $1b 2 year ago, u know the money will be in naira and now the naira value as depreciated more 35% which means the $1b will be ard $600m now. Even the gain that the company might have gathered would have turn to dust. Would u invest in such situations. The implications is that since the govt failed to support indigenous companies, and international companies will not come, job will be very scarce to come by which inturns there hunger

-- Energy supply in Nigeria we have zero energy supply and without that company will be running other source which is expensive and inturns they will add it to d price of their products and things will be expensive. North is Nigerian source of food supply, bandit, boko, herders have sent farmer away from farming which in turns makes food supply to limited and expensive.

Many international companies now closing down because it's no more feasible to run in Nigeria.

Govt are spending excess money on thing that won't bring any substantial developments and u call it working govt.
We import a lot, govt should pegged naira value, and allow MasterCard to be spending dollar at some cap. This will spoil the market of those bank thieves u choose to sell dollar to bdc alone. It will reduce pressure on black market and the price won't be jumping the way its. Because if there are backlogs govt should be clearing it, instead of some people getting richer and some poorer. Because despite run or market on naira govt still keep pumping dollar to clear back logs and still can't even stabilize naira just for a month.
Since civil war date Nigerian currency was changed to naira and value was pegged the rate at which the value depreciate still relatively fair
From 1n to 1p to 600n to 1p in over 40 year. And in just 1 year it jump from 600 to 1600 even to 1800 and noby knows what it will be in five years to come. Naira has no backer no gold no export nothing. Even pounds and dollar no dey open market.
