Good day nairalanders.

Please I need you'll to say sth regarding this cos it's really disturbing me.

About 6 years ago I suffered great pain due to being unable to control my emotions. I actually fell depressed and had to see a psychologist at when I recovered I realized that I went through all of that shit cos I allowed my emotions to take the best part of me.

For this reason I try my best to always control my emotions and never loose my guard on that. But lately I realize I somehow fail to control my emotions and it's usually for one particular reason.

Someone called me on the phone 4 days ago, and said something and I quickly got angry and became all emotional.
Today I did sth also that I believe is as a result of emotional influence.

So I am wondering, can I actually have a 100% control of my emotions and how do I go about it.

nobody is suppose to be 100% in control of their emotions... thats why they are emotions. you body naturally reacts to whats happening in your life...
- so you will automatically laugh when something is funny, even if you may not want to.
- so you will automatically be sad when a dear family member dies, even if you may not want to.
- so you will automatically be upset if you just crash your brand new car, even if you are happy to be alive

the catch is that you may not want to SHOW your emotions, but nevertheless that emotion is happening whether you want to hide it or not.

so what you’re saying means we humans shouldn’t be blamed for our actions.

If I kill someone now because of anger. It’s not my fault since d emotion is greater dan me right?

A) no emotion is greater than you
B) being ANGRY is the emotion, and there is absolutely nothing wrong with being angry. how you HANDLE/REACT to that emotion is a different ball game.
C) what you just described up there is another emotion called INSANITY
