I think this has more to do with the presidency obeying the dictates if the foreign players that we buy refined crude oil from.

Refining in Nigeria can put them loose that market share. Sad thing is that the oil industry and power industry of this country are closely connected.

The generator needs fuel. If there is steady power, there will be drastic reduction in demand for fuel for generator...therefore less importation whichever loss of revenue.

Dangote don see the game at close quarters and is willing to recoup his investments by selling off the redinery rather than for it to be sabotaged where he losses everything.
