Ormohlawlah:
Hi guys, is it advisable to send money to my mother’s account right before her visit visa application and explain it in her cover letter and mine? Her balance is really low and I now plan on including her bank statement even though I am fully sponsoring her.
I don’t want her to be denied because of the usual “I cannot see that these funds are available to you”

Has anybody applied without the parent’s bank statement and gotten approved in recent times?
It is not advisable. It might be seen as "account padding".

If you didn’t state you were going to be sending the travel money and/or have not usually been sending money to her then you shouldn’t just do this sudden transfer at this dying moment.
You need to include her bank statement.
Thank you for your response. I have been sending money to her multiple times a month, especially because my son lives with her and she’s the one I send all his expenses to. I also send to her for personal use and highlight this in the transfer reference. And if I do send this one, I’m planning to explain it in the application

Hi All, anyone who did biometrics on the 24th of June still awaiting a response?
Re: General UK Visa Enquiries - Part 5 by killaskillz: 8:29am On Jul 22, 2024
I'm yet to get feedback. Hopefully today or tomorrow, it should be sorted

Cashmadam:
Apply for a visit visa normally. You don't need to do anything special. Of cos you need to ensure your account is in good shape and you can convince the visa officer that you intend to come back to Nigeria.
thank you my able madam

Will I have to build my account for 6 months by paying myself salary ?

Please I need an urgent reply. I did my biometrics last week and on Wednesday I got a mail asking me to provide documentation of what I’ve been doing since I graduated. I graduated in September 2021 and i thought that wouldn’t be an issue. I haven’t worked since I graduated but I did a 9 months course from July 2023-April 2024 and I submitted the certificate during application, what else can I do and how do I respond to the mail?
Resend and if you were getting married or had children add them as well as things you were doing.

Your son who is with her would not be travelling. Please subtly expound this part and make them understand that there is no way she would leave him for that long and never to return when he is staying with her and all.
She is his main carer whilst you and I presume his other parent are not in the picture.
Provide proofs of this evidence of them living together esp. pictures but you also have to be careful so they do not think the child’s care will be abandoned since she is now coming to the Uk.
Keep her stay short on this visa form is my take- 10 days to 2 weeks and provide evidence of how she has arranged for his care to be covered while she will be away. They will not also want a situation where the child would be left unattended all for vacation and his needs would always be put first re- safeguarding.

Thank you. I intend to mention this part in her application. I have also made arrangements for him to stay with my sister temporarily for the 14-day duration and would mention that as well.

Thanks for your response

Hi All,
I just tracked my visa application and it says transferred to VAC. I have not gotten any pick up mail or refusal email. Does this mean there is a high probability i'd get the visa. I am not in Lagos so i'd have to wait till next week to know my fate. But I know God is in control

If you have done any petty trading, add that information with evidence.
