#1500 per day. Then Agbero will collect #500 from them. Then it reduced to #1000 per day. Aswear if people selling groundnuts make up to 3k to 4k per day, everybody will be into the business today. I've been into stuffs like that in the past and I know how much agbero charge us per day. You will end up only making money for the government/agbero.

I wonder how people don't know that this drunken SP is indirectly soliciting for increment in their own allowances too. They are the ones having domestic servants, drivers and other people doing menial works for them in their homes, farms and industries etc. All these people, they are to pay them privately from their purse but they will pad their wages into their own allowances. At the end of day, they will get the money but they will never pay the #70k to these people.

Minimum wage is for public servants alone or public registered companies..
It means everyone working in PUBLIC OFFICE or public registered companies that are eligible to list and sell shares to the public, no worker should be paid below Minimum wage...

It has nothing to do with a tailor or private entrepreneur..

It is greediness that's the problem of private business owners in Nigeria. If you make profit of say 20k daily for 26days, you'll have 520k. If you pay your sales boy 70k and maybe spend extra 100k for other monthly costs and reinvest 100k, you'll have 250k left.

Mind you, I am just being modest with figures here because I know that many businesses generate more profits than I stated above.

But they all want to live in opulence while their employees suffer like slaves!

How can a senate president not read through minimum wage Act before saying things anyhow.

True we all want to make money but how can a business that is struggling in this economy pay N70,000.00 to even 10 workers when there had been no stability in the economy.

For instance, someone who runs a restaurant and buys everything expensive presently and then there was increase in minimum wage so I would take money out of the "no profit income" and pay workers then borrow to continue the business?
