The word you are looking for is feudalism. a system where wealth is concentrated in a core and the majority are in stark poverty and expected to accept it as their lot in life.

And everyone has been content with that system - until now.

If you want to be honest with yourself, the big picture was a majority Ndigbo group of soldiers killed a lot of politicians, not one Ndigbo politician was killed.

That was not a good picture and the counter coup was always going to happen. A shame more blood letting happened as a result and it consequently led to a civil war where even more innocent civilians killed.

Even Ndi North soldiers that staged the counter coup would have initially supported it as everyone was fed up of the first republic politicians. Until they realised only their politicians (and other non Ndigbo ones) were killed as Zik for example had been told of the coup beforehand and had hightailed it out of dodge.

Go to twitter and read how some Obidients are talking about moving Peter Obi out of the country and physically attacking all the politicians left. As if we haven't seen such a thing before and as if anything good will come out if it.
