Not holding brief for anybody but Nigerians are difficult to manage and the system contributes to all the lawlessness. This NIN registration has been postponed times without number, still Nigerians wont register their lines, some even still patronise buying pre registered SIMs and encourage this registration mess.

MTN are mad and guys pls go and secretly profile MTN shareholders and you see names that will be shock infact one of the actor of this nonsense protest who is a politician and a presidential candidate is a shareholder a creepy red alert man who loves to drive the vehicle from the back seat and among those who instigated MTN to blocked SIM in an attempt to increase people anger to burn down Nigeria on Aug 1st.

Body of the article clearly states "NIN mismatch" and majority of the affected citizens have widely claimed to have registered and updated their mobile lines with their respective NINs.

But because of your penchant for bias reasoning, you somehow sat in your dark corner to surmise that the victims failed to adhere to instructions. You talk like a motorpark tout sometimes!

I don't know what to tell you. What stupid warnings upon warnings. Do you think the people being blocked did not linked their NIN? I linked mine several times and it still got banned until I was able to unbar it after going to MTN office 5am in the morning to queue. Don't put your mouth in something if you don't know anything about it

If MTN offices nation wide remained close, I'm sure they'll make the same amount of profit they would have been if those offices have been open. Beside, why is it MTN offices was attacked, MTN aren't the only telecom provided that barred line, but heck, they were the only ones who was attacked.

Also, don't believe everybody have the luxury of linking their sim cards to their NIN. Many Nigerians still live in the rural areas, many. Trust me, unless you live in those areas, you'll know just how virtually impossible it is to do anything that has to do with technology.

Most rural areas don't even have telecom service point, talkless of having NIN enrolment centre or banks around there. So, this approach by NCC is an abysmal approach. They should apologize to Nigerians, I mean amidst the economic hardship, they still want to add to it by barring people's phone lines. Hian!.
