When will the person's current resident permit expired? Application can be done from Nigeria, but staying in France will be better
mercyp001:
Thanks for your response Sister.
Yes , the person graduated from French university and has returned to Nigeria. We want to know if the person can still apply for the APS in Nigeria and return to France to make use of the visa.
Once again, thanks for your response.

Tell the person to start the applicatìon. Things to submit, house contract or utility bills showing residential address, diploma certificate, bank statement showing POF for 1 year this is not applicable with some pretecture, but if the person lives in île de France it will be required. Late submission will attract 250 euro [Lquote author=mercyp001 post=131255162]

Get them Transit visa

- Apply for a return or multiple ATV.
- Don’t book Hotel
- include copy of the visa and ticket reservation

- Health Insurance: You still require health insurance with a minimum value of €30,000 even though you won't be leaving the international terminal of the French airport where you will land.
This is needed in case of sickness or accident while you're at the airport.

You can get travel insurance from most insurance companies in Nigeria. All you need to do is visit any of their websites to buy travel insurance. You don’t need an agent or anyone else to buy travel insurance.

Travel insurance is cheap in Nigeria. The price you pay depends on the company you get it from. You can visit multiple insurance company websites and then compare prices.

I always go for the cheapest because it doesn't matter which company you buy it from.

You can get travel insurance that will cover a 7-day trip for as little as 3,200 naira, a 10-day trip for about 4500 naira, or less than 9000 naira for one month of travel insurance.

Buy it online from any of the insurance companies. You don’t need anyone or agent before you can buy travel insurance.

Re: Securing Visa To France, Applying From Nigeria... by josephb(m):
I noticed that you applied as a first timer haven't you had any previous Schengen visas? or visas from the USA, Canada, or the UK.

I had to revisit this thread after a long time to check the latest, My family and I, including my Mum, applied on July 18, 2024 for Our Yearly Family Vacation.

Usually, our applications are processed within 3 to 5 days. This will be our fifth Schengen visa, except for my mother, who has visas for Canada and the USA.

Between my family and me, we have visited over 34 countries and hold valid 10-years visa for Canada and the USA. We also have four expired Schengen visas issued by the French Embassy, expired UK visas and many more.

My second Son does not need a visa as he holds a Canadian passport.

It has been 15 days without any updates. Abi, Has France denied our visas ni?

I sincerely hope that Nigerians can overcome these visa challenges, as the anxiety over visa results is immense despite being well-traveled.

Regards,

No. Sometime it is always fast and some periods you may wait for four weeks. Please, when did you fill your application for the tourist visa?

lol 😂 I don’t think they’ve denied your family visas. They are probably busy watching the Olympics 🤔. I submitted on the 22nd along with my spouse. We are also well travelled but no updates about our applications yet. Let’s be patient, they will revert when ready.
