The local church system means a whole lot to me because I've been one of the greatest beneficiaries of its essence, structures, and divine blessings since I was a boy many years ago. This is one of the reasons why I keep giving priority to the local church system and advising everyone to have a commitment to a local church family. As I progress gallantly in life by God, a time will come when I will be graced by Jesus to write a story of my life. But here, let me give you a short testimony.

I was born into a mixed-faith home, my mum a Christian, and my dad was a liberal Muslim who allowed his children to practice the Christian faith. Now, my mum's church was a distance from where we lived, hence my mum permitted her children to attend a nearby local church with some neighbors.

As a 6-7-year-old in the children's church, my children's teachers were quick to spot the grace of God upon me and never discriminated nor ignored me because my parents were not members. Rather, I became the children's class pastor (during children's anniversaries, the kids take charge of the service of the big church). So I started preaching in front of adults at a tender age, and it was helpful in preparing me for my future and refining my gifts.

Eventually, after approaching my teenage phase and it was time for transition from the children's church into the main adult church, my then church pastor quickly started entrusting into my hands responsibilities that helped became structures and systems that ensured I keep engaging God in a corrupt environment.

It is important to note that I grew up in a society where corruption is the order of the day, and living in sin is a trendy thing. One of the reasons I wasn't drawn into the corruption prevalent with my peers was because I was busied with church responsibilities. As a young teenager, I was a Sunday school teacher, an interpreter, an usher, a part-time chorister (because I can't be doing ushering and choir at the same time), I was part of the evangelism team, I was a youth leader (some of the people I lead were far older than me), I became the sort-of district youth pastor without being ordained (the other youth pastors in the zone were far older).

To cut the story short, my local church became a training and empowerment center God used to shape me for today and the future. After leaving the church to go to the university for my undergraduate studies, it was easy for me to serve with my student fellowship (where I was eventually appointed the President).

In conclusion, it doesn't matter the extent of the attack against the body of Christ, the church is a big blessing to me (and many like me all around the world).

Jesus said - "I will build My church, and the gates of Hades shall not prevail against it." (‭Matthew 16:18 NKJV‬)

Sorry oo, your ignorance of word of God is awesome.

The church is you and me. If you are not built, hell would overcome you.

The church na the people not the building, even if you no be Christian read , read , read books from other religions so that you go know wetin dey sup.

I'm a Christian but sometimes see other religion flyers I read them just to know what other side is kinda talking about.

I don read small small books from other religions no be say I read all but at least glance them during free time sometimes for more knowledge and to be honest they make sense in some ways even as I do not accept all but I agree to some of the write ups, its good bro. I go just dey give you hot knock for head walai .

Your decision respected but there is absolutely nothing comparable to a life in Christ. You will see and experience supernatural power that is available in the name of Jesus. The love of God for his children is inexplicable and without limits. I am writing as one who has experienced supernatural healing, fellowship, provision and unconditional love that is available in Christ.
As an African pick up the Bible go to a living church be committed in it and live a life of prayers and watch God do wonders for you and through you

Did he tell you that it was brick and cement that helped in giving a solid foundation to his life? This is kind of questions that emerges when the actual meaning of church is not known.

You are not the only one in the shoe bro.

Up till date, I don't smoke, I don't club, I don't drink and I don't humanize - all thanks to the foundation given by the church.

In the university days, it was not easy, but coping outside the ordinances of God were worse.

Church provides foods for me on countless times while in school. Ayo's school fees was paid by Redeem throughout, and he told me that there were many in the same category.

Let's just give God all the praise.

Why say he has a childish brain? ... I'm sure he has been building his brain since a child .... you should strongly suspect what he is using to build and should in no way be surprised by the dust that be coming out his mouth .

Even if Islam are strongly against Christians they can't refute the story of our Lord Jesus Christ. History has confirmed that despite the hate against Him. You need Him in your life.

That where you lack the understanding and meaning of scripture.

Church he was referring to wasn’t mortal and brick. Just like when he said “ tear down this temple and I’ll rebuild in 3 days John 2:9. He was referring to His body . In the previous quote - The body of believers .
Despite what Christians have suffered during the time of Nero , and now in Churches in Restricted Access Nations. The gates of Hell shall not win at the end !!
