Months ago, I wrote about Northern conspiracy to take over power in 2027. I highlighted the pressure on Tinubu to consolidate southern alliance after the undertone coming from the North. Some myopic South westerners who are either dull or too dumb to understand responded negatively on effort to get back Southern support.. To these set who think Tinubu need only the SS, I laugh... The current protest in the North has shown clearly how they view Tinubu. They actually took the protest to another level.. Northern political leaders are behind the scene, quiet, strategically plotting and playing the game. Will be very hard for Tinubu to even campaign for 2027 in the North without serious consequences... Despite the large amount of money given to traditional rulers, religious rulers, APC politicians and influencers, the protest still went ahead, people's power always wins.. The people of the North will rise against this government in 2027 despite the amount of money that will be dished out to those already stated above.. Tinubu should follow Obasanjo's route if he has any chance of re-election , RESET relationship with Igbos to fully consolidate Southern alliance. Having 90 percent of those around you as Yourbas and removing Igbos from government is a terrible strategy from day 1 as a Southern candidate. Buhari in his nepotism rallied the entire North around him which strengthened his government despite failing the nation.. Tinubu have less than a year to reset alliance with entire south, yes less than a year.. Get down from the high horse, go to SE, meet with governors, people and even meeting Peter Obi.. Be genuine, meet their demands whether is releasing Nnamdi Kanu or stronger FG projects in the South East, clamp down on South Western ethnic champions and ronu nonsense. Otherwise, the North who has sensed the chance will align with Ibos to finally destroy APC. OBJ was the smartest Southern to govern since democracy, carried the whole south along. GEJ despised Yourbas who went on to play with the North BAT is despising the Ibos, history is about to repeat itself. Already same protest that happened before APC was formed is happening. By next YEAR, a new alliance will be formed.. Finally, for some idiots who think politics is about championing hatred and division, your rubbish didn't stopped the protest and double of the rubbish will not save Tinubu in 2027 if reset doesn't happen. Once Tinubu is gone in 2027, APC will lose Lagos in the Gubernatorial... |

Igbos are not a people you can decide to use whenever you choose to,if the north and SW wants to continue rotating power amongst themselves, igbos will always be fine…NO ONE TELLS THE IGBOS WHAT TO DO. It’s clear to the north now that they can’t do it alone. It’s also Clear to the SW,that they can’t do it alone. Igbos can’t be used to score cheap points against the north or SW. |

Igbos don't need the re-union, let tinubu continue to worship the north who don't even regard him except for his money . Time Shall tell God in heaven, in my next life, I want to be IGBO. |

Wait till 2026 let him come out of the chaos of next one year first then he release Kanu and create an extra south East state trust that can assuage situation lol for now. Don’t gaslight us |

Tinubu is a strategic thinker. Engaging the Igbos is essential for a united front. History shows that unity among the South strengthens our position against Northern dominance. Let's focus on building bridges, not walls. Together, we can secure a brighter future for Nigeria. |

banom:President Tinubu knows as long as Peter Obi is contesting, there is nothing he can do to appease Ndigbo. I don't blame him for not making any direct effort in that regards. |

The truth is that even if the Jagaban cuts his head and gives it to the SouthEasterners, they will still never vote him. Of course the North never wanted him from day 1 as evidenced by the presentation of Lawan. If I were Asiwaju, I won’t run again. I will in stead use the next three years to steer the course of this nation in the right direction, crush and totally eradicate northern hegemony, and use all my political clout to install a protege that would consolidate my efforts! |

It's not about Tinubu. It's about competence. The Igbos are not a people you'd expect to stand by you when you're clearly doing the wrong thing and not call you out. Which, sadly is the issue Tinubu is having with northerners now. He and his goons supported them blindly and are expecting the same support, but this kind of thinking would only sink the country deeper and throw more people into penury and misery. Let him be just and upright and many Igbos will follow him. |

Zetra7:Politically,you were logical in your write up. But I think it's best we do things that are morally right. Let Tinubu start doing the right things that will benefit not only Igbos, but the entire nation. If people see your sincerity and empathy, you stand a better chance of getting reelected |

Tinubu sabi how to play the game well, while Obi dey busy dey chase shadows. Na him go still make Ibo people see sense before dem know wetin dey happen. |

Tinubu needs the whole southern region. The problem is that he came with a divide and rule mentality. The agbero approach of owomida. He should just continuing going hard on restructuring |

LordIsaac:Tinubu's legacy is hunger and hardship. No one will even vote for anyone endorsed by Tinubu, and there will be a massive and violent upheaval if he tries to use INEC and the judiciary to install his protégé. He started very negatively by using unnecessary tribalism against the Igbos in Lagos, unleashing his ethnic minions to undermine innocent Igbos. Some of the people in his kitchen cabinet are known Igbo-haters and he rewarded people like Asari Dokubo and Omokri, whom he felt, were anti-Igbo individuals. His lapdog Lagos governor embarked on policies that he absolutely knew will hurt the Igbos majorly, and he felt no remorse about it. God punished him for his evil, by ensuring his government's seen as the worst government to ever govern Nigeria. Even in this current protests, his bootlickers are still trying their damned best to blame Igbos for it, but God has made it difficult for him and his evil gang, to rope the Igbos in. Even Hausas and Fulanis are beginning to see the evil gaslighting against Igbos, emanating from Tinubu's camp. Tinubu hoped on relying on the good old Igbophobia, to cover for any failings in his regime, but God has truly exposed him. There is now no place for him to hide. Igbos voted for OBJ and he turned out to be the best Yoruba president ever to lead Nigeria. Around 2022, Igbos advised Yorubas to ensure Osibanjo emerged in APC, so that there will be two competent southerners going for the presidency in 2023, but long throat and Igbophobia will not allow Yorubas see that Tinubu will be a disaster. Today, the call made by Igbos is looking prophetic. Tinubu has broken every record in cluelessness. |

If only they could see that unity is strength. Tinubu knows the importance of bridging gaps and fostering collaboration. It's about time we move past old grievances and focus on building a prosperous Nigeria together. Let's embrace the reset! |

They thrive on divide and rule and its backfiring faster than anticipated. Imagine isolating and mocking true Lagosians because their mothers are Igbos So even SW is not even with him, myself and family inclusive |

I will embrace the reset if I see sincerity of purpose from them. The largely illiterate north can't continue to hold the country hostage using their numerical strength and religious ties with majority Yorubas. But till then, let's maintain the status quo ante. |

No alliance with SE will make them vote for Tinubu because there's no solution in Tinubu. Unless you want us to endorse our retrogression because of politics 2027 will be an alliance btw the North and SE/SS Zetra7: |

Tinubu knows the game well, and he’s not one to shy away from strategic moves. Building bridges with the Igbos can only strengthen the Southern alliance. This is the time to be proactive, not reactive. Let’s see how he navigates this! |

Nice analysis though. The bitter truth is that Nigeria is not really ripe for a people centered democracy, hence all these selfish alliances. That said, going head long with the north could be very suicidal. Ditto the other southern regions did not have the number, but he should have tried to still maintain some level of goodwill there. Appointing Umahi and kalu is not enough, as they even make anti-igbo sentiments sometimes. Then again, I hate that rather than our politicians getting to work, they begin to strategize over the 2nd term. A single 6year presidency will do us go, and will save costs. |
