sleek214:What about you? He is not a sports athlete, so he is not taking part. But those who went have no business going. Nigeria, as a whole, is a disappointment. You carry a bunch of useless people who can't compete in anything. Small countries are winning. Nigeria has no business participating in many things. The population of over 200 million is the largest black nation and has nothing to show for it. |

Once we start investing in sports, we will start winning Olympic medals. Firstly, every 2 years, we should have a national games competition, like Nigeria’s mini olympics, where all the talents across Nigeria get to compete. Secondly, exceptional talents should be scouted and partnered with coaches of higher calibre in their respective fields of excellence. Thirdly, we should start a national lottery in Nigeria.. Half of the money goes back lucky winners, 1/4 goes to fund sports, and 1/4 goes to good causes. We can also dedicate 0.5% of what FIRs generate into sport, so sports funding gets 2 streams. In conclusion, if there is funding, training facilities and good coaching, I see no reason why we shouldn’t do well in sports |

You belong to the wild animals kingdom with your thinking. Tinubu's bad luck must have been responsible for the record breaking performance of our female basketball team and also the two athletes that broke 12 and 24 years old records in the write up. SmartPolician: |

SmartPolician:It doesn't matter. Our participation is noted and appreciated. What do you expect to win? Did we prepare well enough to win? Our foreign athletes prepared on their own and we know this. I'm saying this to caution you before you bring Tinubu into this. We've never got prepared for any competition, it's a Nigerian thing and it's in us including you. |
