I Once audited one of the two agencies (won’t mention the exact one) and the issue of whether they members once appointed should remain in office till they are 70 came up and they said something like a judgement clarified that what’s in their appointment letter should determine their tenure. Can really recollect exactly so I don’t want to be authoritative.

I think there is a court judgement that stipulates tenure for members of CCT and CCB and that’s why CCB chairman and commissioners are always changed even before they get to 70 years. CCT can’t be treated differently.
