Before Abuja was made FCT, there were people indigenous to Abuja. Before Lagos was created there were people indigenous to Lagos. Calling someone's territory a no mans land is very uncivilized. If the individual is born in Nigeria he/she is automaticaly a citizen by birth and will be allowed to contest without bullying

They contest election, go for beauty pageants and are treated fairly, why is Africa different. Beauty queen pageant is the most inclusive activity and SA failed her own citizen. How can the girl ever feel safe in her own country. You outcasted your own citizen because of her heritage. If you read the post you would see that Chidinma is a born South African who is being looked down on because her father is Nigerian. I can boldly tell you that Nigerians would have no problem with a South African born Nigerian going for Miss Nigeria.

Her mother is a South African with a Mozambique heritage, those allegations of identity fraud are lies just to technically remove her from the competition, it's not proven, SA people says her mother (may have) isn't that speculations?

Chidinma Adetshina, born in South Africa to a legitimate South African permanent resident, is a South African under their jus soli law. So what are you saying about allowing a "non-Nigerian" contest in a Nigerian pagentry. You only need to be resident in a country for 6 months to be eligible to contest and/or represent that country as a Miss Universe contestant. Malta recently had a Cameroonian lady win their competition. They grumbled and all but that's all the could do. Grumble

If they are Nigerian by birth why not? See if you be Yoruba or ibo but was born and breed in warri, it will be hard for you to assimilate if you eventually move back to root. Infact you find there weird and it will take time to adjust same with her.
